I built this deck and just played my first game. It absolutely dominated. Butcher of Malakir + Sac Outlet + Gisa was ridiculous. I was ahead the whole game and that was just how I wound up ending it. I cannot wait to play it more, thank you!

I dropped a vote for Vohar. Probably not the popular choice, but it'd be a nice return to the channels roots, given an uncommon commander and all. Plus it'd be interesting to see a heavy permission style draw - go list get built on this channel.

Thanks for voting! Personally, I think Vohar is quite an interesting commander that can be built in a few different ways to maximize his Instant/Sorcery gameplan - so I'd love to have a chance to tackle a build with him!

I have a $1.7k Braids deck with zero infinite combos. I feel like this deck, with something like Grey Merchant in the main board would perform just about as well. I like the deck tech and you’ve earned the sub and like.

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the sub! I tried Gary in the 99 initially but ended up cutting him since the baordstate in this build did consistently get "big" enough for his drain feel reliable (with all our sacing) on top of having no real means to reanimate/recur him to be used over and over again. Still, he's by no means bad and can drain for a hefty amount on the proper board - which is why he would make a solid sidegrade if you want to swap him in.

This deck is so oppressive, you have to love it! I tried out Drivnod from ONE and with all the dictates and drain effects it surely makes closing out games faster. I replaced Gissa actually, she never stayed on the field for one rotation to really make use of her effect.

Yeah, Drivnod essentially doubles all our aristocrats effects and can easily make him indestructible, so I can see him being a great addition. And Gissa does have a target on her back as soon as she comes down, so replacing her with Drivnod (who can protect himself) seems like a great decision!

Good suggestion! It would give us a decent amount of bodies to work with since almost all of our sac fodder in the build in non-token.

Ah Bitterblossom, another deck where you will fit oh so well. Whilst with the previous deck I mentioned for it making rogues, it being an enchantment that produces is why it is being bought forward for this occasion.

It is certainly a powerful addition if we're looking to add more token sac fodder, with us also giving the option to sac it to Braid for removal/draw (which is a great option to have) - though that $20+ price tag makes it far from budget - even after the Double Masters 2022 printing.

I've been using forsworn paladin on my black edh decks since release. Very underrated "ramp" for mono black.

Tackling older commanders isn't in the cards right now - but that could change as the channel grows. That said, we have gotten a lot of new spiders since Ishkanah came out, so I can see her being a pretty fun build around!

Just link your nice videos in the primer and you’re good to go. As for my vote, as much as I wish for a Lim-Dul deck, my vote goes to Vohar, since it will be a return to the channel's roots in a way. Also, Raven Chad and Sisay have strategies that can be summed up in one word - discard and lifegain - which is kinda limiting, unlike Voxer- I mean Vohar over here. Day 410 of waiting for the Grazzet face reveal. Speaking of brilliant minds horridly ruined by a massive bastion of corruption, what are your thoughts on WotC and their recent announcement? The one with the 999$ boosters full of proxies that - in my opinion - is only there because WotC's lack of reprint policy has been corrupting Magic since its inception?

Thanks for the support as always! Now that you mention it, it has been some time since I made a uncommon commander and Vohar would certainly make for an interesting build around that can be taken in a number of different directions. As far as WotC Proxy announcement - I think that this product feel very cash grabby and is more of a collectors item than anything. I'm sure big spenders will buy it as an "investment" but the player base at large will likely not want anything to do with it. Now regarding the Reserve List.... I'm not a fan but I can see why WotC uses it to help their older cards keep ther value (though how effective it actually is at doing this is debatable). Not sure how they would put that cat back in the bag however if they were ever able to get rid of it.

I have a rules questions I’m hoping someone can help me out with regarding Braids + Strionic Resonator. Can I activate Strionic Resonator after I sacrifice a creature/artifact/enchantment/land/planeswalker, thus doubling the sacrifice trigger for my opponents? I’m just confused since it seems like Braids has 2 triggered abilities. One “at the beginning of end step” trigger and then an “if you do” trigger.

Loved the build by the way!! I was very excited to see you take on Braids. I’ve wanted a mono black commander for a while but couldn’t find anything that truly grabbed my interest until Braids. My build I included Protection Racket because I felt like it was a great punisher fit with Braids and then I put in Lolth and Warlock Class for amplified life drain.

As far as I understand it, you will have to sac another permanent if you copy her ability if you want it to go off - since putting this ability on the stack does not require a sacrifice in in of itself - you are just given the option to - otherwise you're spending 2 mana to effectively do nothing. Hope that helps!
