I can't believe this game was not well received in its day. My brothers and I played it when it was first released back in the mid 90's and we still quote it to this day. I'm honestly convinced that the reason why this game doesn't have a higher age rating it's because of the complete lack of blood and gore. And also, I'm pretty sure they had to censor it before release because, if you look closely at a lot of these, you'll see a lot of liquids coming from Lance's wounds, orificies and even stuff like the eyeballs and monsters' mouths that look like they were originally colored red to be blood but they had to recolor them to not get an M-rating.
