BRAIN FOG, 'BLANKETS' and BABIES!!

I had a scary incident the other day - more weird things with Long Covid...aarrrgghh!! But I feel better now. And happy new with more upcoming Truelove babies!
Join me for Truelove Family stories (which I have many, as a mother of 10 kids), Mothering Autism, with our Maxwell on our many fun car rides, and Free quilting class and sewing lessons! And as in a 'classroom' setting, my tutorials are approximately 1/2 hour+ long....So Join me in my home sewing room, out and about and trying to make all sorts of quilted goodies! Be aware ~ I like to chat and probably repeat myself over and over, (and stutter sometimes), and if this annoys you, then view elsewhere - but, if patient, you hopefully will learn a new method or technique and get an insight into a very large family and their crazy fun:)

Jean, I understand about the "Brain fog". I have it with my fibromyalgia. I pray that you get completely healed from all of the covid symptoms. Loved the photos of the kids and grands. Sweet quilts too!

Thank you so much for all your inspiration with your quilting. The quilts that you entered into the quilt show looked absolutely amazing. Congratulations on your new grandbabies to be. Hope your daughters-in-law have an uneventful birth. Brain fog could be mini strokes but it is also a common symptom of long covid as well. Also chronic fatigue and relapses. (Not fun at all) Take care of yourself. It is always best to get any "strange" symptoms checked by the doctor as we are still learning what the long term affects of covid are. Xxxx

Sending prayers your way for healing but I agree with others here that you should speak to your doctor about this fog incident since it included the headache and nausea. Glad Maxwell was there for you and knew to have you eat something ❤

Long Covid has wreak havoc on the older generation. My husband had it twice both times hospitalized. He has aged more than ten years, brain fog, not so much energy. before that he had the energy of a young man even though we are in our 70s, we were healthy before Covid so hang in Jean. Take care of your health and do what you can.

Jean - not to scare you; however, my husband has never had Covid but did have similar brain fog last December. I insisted we go to the ER and his ended up being a TIA, mini-stroke. Please share your symptoms with your doctor to rule out other possibilities.

Jean please don’t wait for the next time, they can detect if you had experienced a stroke. Take care of yourself, an ounce of prevention is definitely worth your time. 👍❤️🙂

Great to see you Jean and hear so much more lift in your voice and happy to hear t hat the latest additions to the family are coming along nicely. Like some others it did worry me when you described your experience at Walmart but for me it sounded a bit like something my husband Ian gets now and then ; an optic migraine. whatever it is good to get it checked out and you are probably right in linking it to long covid which is such a b.. in so many peoples lives. You do seem to have a little more pep in your voice, I continue to pray for you. I had a similar conversation with my brother last week, who also had long covid. The brain fog, migraines and nausea come and go.. He also developed diabetes following covid. His good days now out numbering the bad. Sending you strength while you continue to recover.😊

Hi Jean. I’m going to agree with some others. Long Covid will not cause you to have a problem with your vision in one eye feel confused along with a very bad headache with nausea. That sounds like symptoms of a mini stroke and nothing to be unconcerned about. Please my sister talk to your doctor about this. This sounds much more than brain fog. 😊😊

You left us on a cliffhanger!!! 😂😂😂 I hope Stella’s mom and dad get whichever they are hoping for 😊 I’m sure they mostly want a healthy baby! Congratulations on another granddaughter!!! Gender reveal cakes are fun. I did quite a few of them when I had my cake shop. It was stressful keeping the secret when it was for couples in the congregation. Warren looks so happy with his quilt, I bet the back is so snuggly and soft. I’m glad you are taking care Jean, it’s frustrating having an illness that has strange, unexpected symptoms. I know!! Brianna and Francois are going to Disney and will be revealing all then!! LOL! That's where they found out they were expecting Stella!! Your quilt looks so happy and cheerful! 😃 I’m glad you’re starting to feel better. My mom had a few experiences like that in the grocery store, a few years back. I told her to stay in a certain area and I’d go get the far away items. (She was in one of those driving carts.) When I got back she was no where to be found. I searched the store over, several times bf I found her. When I did, she had this wild-eyed look on her face. Later on, she admitted that she got lost and couldn’t find her way back to me. She was pretty scared! Shook me up too! This was bf Covid, and awhile after that she was diagnosed with Lewy body syndrome (a form of dementia). It doesn’t really matter what causes the momentary blankness; it’s pretty terrifying when it happens. I hope it doesn’t happen to you any more. That happened to me in a taxi driver asked me do i need help he said this is your place i just looked confused so he walked me in to the house and told my husband. I was little scared but never happened again I hope not loved your blanket

Hi Jean, sounds scary for you and Maxwell. My best friend had a TIA a few years ago with very similar symptoms in particular the headache afterwards. Please call your GP and get a check up to put your mind at rest. Glad you feel better today

Hi Jean! Wow! That brainfog must've been so scary! I have fibromyalgia and i get brainfog almost daily, but mine isnt that bad. I sure hope that's the last of it for you! Your orange peel quilt is beautiful! Ive found that i love applique! I actually have 5 quilts gojng right now. I started a quilt with an Autumn 10"stack and im just sewing the 10 inchers together in a row and have been drawing trees; squirrels; Leaves, etc and appliqueing them on. Such fun! Your grandson' is so swee tg and such a cutie quilt! Love the orange peel one...i see butterflies! You do such awesome work , Jean and you're such an inspiration! I get brain fog with fibromyalgia and CRPS. IT is scare if you have never had one before. I eat something sweet and then lay down.plus Also, if you go like that, check your blood sugar and blood pressure. I hope you feel better soon. Long covid is a nightmare. Thinking of you.D UK 🇬🇧

Prayers to you. That long covid symptom must have been scary. I would have been scared as well. Beautiful quilt you are chipping away at. I just finished 3 quilts. Good for a non-quilter, right? Two large baby quilts and one for daughter #2. Now I plan on making one for a dear friend going into an assisted living facility this week. I want to give her something to wrap herself in. Beautiful a little baby girl on the way. Hope all goes well. And hmmm, I think Stella needs a sister! That's my vote. lol. (I am usually wrong though. ) Thanks Jean. I’m so sorry about the brain fog but I think you are doing great remembering all of your kids and grandkids names, birth order, etc! I am 1 of 8 and my 89 yr old Mom is STILL getting the 5 of us still remaining mixed up😂. How wonderful you make each of your grandkids feel so special! They could get easily get lost in the ‘crowd’😂. I absolutely love the orange peel quilt with that perfectly chosen border!

I love my JUKI's. You can get a nice one from between $400 - $1000. I wouldn't go any lower, as price DOES indicate a bit better quality. But you certainly don't have to spend thousands to get a nice machine. However, having said that (LOL!!) I am eyeing up a Bernina. A tad bit more expensive but I've heard a lot of good things about them! All the best!!

You sound so much better. I had to start with the "easy stuff" when I was recuperating from long covid. I was surprised, at times it felt like I didn't know how to do things. But, after a couple days, a few mistakes, I got back into the swing of things. I had a problem with gauging how much time had passed, weird things this virus does, but it does come back. 😊❤

I know of brain fog. I had it for just a couple of minutes and was so scared. I'm sorry that you had that. Also, I am just like you, in that I can't seem to make a small quilt! I have a talk with myself every once in a while and say "Oh for crying out loud.......it doesn't have to be a king!" Hasn't worked well yet. Good luck!!! Thanks for all the videos.
