The amount of times they reverted right before the correct thing is crazy

I love how this teaches you to think super far outside whst you percieve as normal like with the shutting the open. Putting the door into the key has the same affect as putting the key into the door but we perceive it as the key opening the door so doing it the other way around doesn't naturally make sense to us

This and the way that the game naturally teaches you how the mechanics work is what, in my opinion, makes Baba is you one of the best puzzle games. When I played through it blind I would spend literal days on some levels because it works so well to subvert expectations on how rules work

Yep, it's a lot of fun to see puzzle games shatter your expectation of how something should work and then build up an entire language to help you explain things!

Just found this channel and series randomly. As someone who enjoys Baba custom levels with custom gimmicks/mechanics/properties, this game gets easier once you wrap your head around the "base" system of how every object (I believe we usually call them "nouns" as that's what they're called in the code) is essentially the same without any rules - which I hope has kind of become implanted by this point; it's when your brain goes into "Baba mode" as I like to call it, as you just think in Baba and are one with the Baba. I think Callindykid's comment is a good bridge to try to get you understand "Baba mode". It's very much hard to try to explain this game without spoilers due to the nature of "Baba mode" thought, but just remember to always experiment with properties (the square-looking text pieces). Assuming that you understand how a property - for example, YOU - works in every single edge case *without testing your theories* will get you stuck later on. It's a gotcha of many puzzles, as Hempuli designed the puzzles backwards. The puzzles are designed to get you to understand how it all works and how they (the properties) might interact with each other. It's incredibly satisfying when the game... well, I've reached a spoiler point here, so just be aware that "Baba mode" will help much later on, as it's pretty much a requirement later on. Level structure tip that I'm not sure you caught on to: the dice pips are attached to levels that they "remix". You may fare well trying to see their base level, refreshing your mind on the gist of it, and then hopping into the "remixed" version. However, remember that the game is designed around that "gotcha" gimmick. Also, there's settings for high-contrast mode and for grid lines, if you so fancy.

Nice job on these puzzles! A lot of puzzles have multiple ways of solving it, and you guys solved some of them in different ways than I did! Some clarifications below to help with some of the confusion. Hope these help! On the first puzzle, when you made "Keke is You" and "Keke is Door", and Keke turned into a door, you couldn't move as the door because you don't have "Door is You" not because "Door is Stop." Later, when you had "Door is You" and "Keke is You" and you tried to move the Door to open the key, but you didn't have "Door is Shut." The Shut and Open objects need to occupy the same space in order to "destroy" each other. It's helpful to think of the two "destroy" action you've come across, "Sink" and "Open"/"Shut" - both of these destroy two objects that occupy the same space. For "Sink": Only one object needs to be "Sink" to destroy both objects. (i.e. "Water is Sink" and you push a Rock into Water and both that square of Water and the Rock are destroyed.). For "Open"/"Shut": One object needs to be "Shut" and the other object needs to be "Open" in order to destroy both objects. You typically see the "Shut" object also be "Stop" so that you can't walk through it, and it's also common for the "Open" object to be "Push" so that it can be moved onto the "Shut" object. Technically, one object can be "Open" and "Stop" while the second object can be "Push" and "Shut", and you Push the Shut object into the other one. Only thing that matters is that the Open and Shut objects occupy the same space to both be destroyed. On the Poem puzzle you noticed the extra space to the left of Violet. Level design is very intentional in this game, so noticing odd things like that can often help guide you to a solution. On the first Float puzzle, when you had "Rock is Win" and "Flag is Win" you couldn't step on Rock because Rock is on the ground and Baba is still floating. It's the same reason you couldn't step on the Flag. Your solution definitely is a way to solve it. The other way is to make "Rock is You" and then step on the Flag as the Rock. This works because Rock and Flag are both on the ground. Some tips that helped me: Sometimes, it' helpful to make more descriptive "normal-sounding" sentences with the rules. The "is" verb can be used to convert objects. So "A is B" turns all A's on the screen into B. I think of it as the sentence "A is (now a) B", i.e. "Flag is (now a) Wall" turns all Flags into Walls. For the "and" conjunction, think of how it operates in the sentence "Ball is Round and Red", which means "Ball is Round AND Ball is Red". Another tip: The game never really tells you this, but there are two implicit, unwritten rules in every level. One is "Text is Push", so whoever You are can always push Text. The second one, you haven't come across yet, so I won't spoil it.

The reason moving the door into the key didn't work in the first level is because door was not shut. The key couldn't open it.

In level 10, what I assumed to be the intended way is to shift the word You to make Key Is You because you can't push down the key nor gain get below the key. The only way to get through is to be the key. The word You can be shifted by making Door Is You, push right-most Is to the left once, Keke Is You, and repeat. When close enough, put the extra Is next to You on the left and push Is You to the right to make Key Is You. I did not expect your strategy to work, but that's one way to do it.😮
