Please answer this question, why is it that when we have intense emotions we can actually feel it on our chest more specifically the heart
@seabassthegamer66445 жыл бұрын
The brain produces hormones and stuff during emotive bursts, and the heart is affected by said hormones. Not to mention that your brain doesn't have sensory nerves like in your hands and various other non-brain parts.

@allie65009 жыл бұрын
Legendarymark112 It's probably because your brain thinks in words and numbers. That's another thing that changes from person to person. Some people visualize something with context to help better understand. While others take the numbers and letters given and that helps them better understand. And why people think differently depends on which side of their brain is dominant. If you saw pictures or associated the text with something you have seen, your right brain is dominant, whereas if you just used the words and letters given to you, your left brain is dominant. :) does this help?

At the end of all your videos you say if we have a question to ask... well... could you show us How the brain works in an ADHD person versus a "normal" person? I've always wondered why they have a much harder time focusing. Help?
@MsDestructiveness10 жыл бұрын
I have had ADHD since I was in 3 grade I'm a senior in high school now, but anyways ADHD is considered a learning disability due to the fact that I have to concentrate on,lets say a math problem, for longer than what you do because I can become more easily distracted, the medication such as Adderall slows the over thinking process and allows me not to become so easily distracted but because of the meds I for the longest time had to be put in a class with students with learning disabilities. so basically a person with ADHD like me, the brain works in overdrive because of the fact that I get easily distracted and my mind never stops over thinking

For the 19×26 In my brain, I did 9×6= 54 and carried the 5, held that in my head, (9×2)+5 = 23, so 9×26 is 234. Then next, first the 0 holds the place, 1×6 goes into the tens place, 1×2 goes into the hundreds place, making 10×26 which is obviously 260, next take the other answer, 260+234= 494. Just try to force your brain to memorise the numbers so you're able to multiply. If it were a 3 digit number × a 3 digit number, it'd be possible but REALLY hard so it would be better to do it on paper. It really isn't that complicated it's just multiplying twice and adding it, so the people that got the answer right and thinks they're special, no you aren't, a child could do it.

Is it weird that I didn't think of anything while I read "Ann approached the bank"?
@outofpocket729 жыл бұрын
You probably did, you just didn't notice. It'd be highly unusual if you didn't have any thought, because images or sentences always trigger your brain somehow even if you don't notice. My sister always claims she doesn't have dreams but she does...she just doesn't remember them or think about that she had them.
@Zeon75109 жыл бұрын
I didn't imagined anything either reading that sentence. Are you , like me, a really unimaginative person? I guess I'm way too factual, ( and that's why i failled miserably 3 literature courses...).

Anxiety is about the second thinking way does not trust the first thinking way. If you have anxiety, you must know that the first thinking is as the same as the second thinking, the results are the same. So, you don't need to think too much. Believing yourself is the truth.

Curious to know how this relates to driving. System 2 or Fast Brain can take over and miss a vehicle or object but what if we are operating in system 1 or slow brain, can we still miss things? Like focusing too hard on a few select things? What’s the solution to activating System 1?

2:21 HOW?!?!?!?!?! You said that the bat is $1 MORE than the ball and the total is $1.10. Standard procedure is to do $1 - $1.10. Which gives us $0.10! right?, but noooooo apparently it's $0.05! HOW?!?!?! Are there two balls or something?!?!?!
@ShariarBizon10 жыл бұрын
Suppose, price of ball, X So, Price of bat, X+1 so, X+X+1 = 1.10 2X+1=1.10 2X=(1.10-1) = .1 X= .1/2 = .05 So, Price of ball is .05 and price of bat is, (1+.05) = 1.05

Okay, I'm dumb. How is the ball five cents?
@WonderWhy10 жыл бұрын
The bat costs $1 more than the ball, and the total cost is $1.10. Therefore, the bat is $1.05 and the ball is $0.05. Since 1.05+0.05=1.10 and $1.05 is $1 more than $0.05. Our brain may quickly jump to the answer of $0.10, and while that is a $1 difference, that adds up to a total of $1.20.

Wait.... BAT+BALL=$1.10, and the BAT cost $1 dollar than the BALL.. that makes the BAT $1 and the BALL $0.10..... how is the correct answer $0.05??!?!?!?! Am I that dumb?
@tylercorl9 жыл бұрын
Sry, but yes, In the video he said that the bat was one MORE dollar than the ball, if you said that the ball costs 0.10$ that means that since the bat costs one MORE dollar than the ball, the total would be 1.20$. But obviously the total is not 1.20$ it's 1.10$ so that means that the ball needs to cost 0.05$. (1.05 + 0.05 = 1.10)
@FluFFYFooSHI9 жыл бұрын
No no no, if the ball costs $0.10, the bat will cost $1.10, and that makes $1.20 instead of $1.10. Do you get it now? The bat costs one more dollar than the ball, not 1 dollar.
@andreysmirnov77289 жыл бұрын
+Luis Lopez well , after some thinking , i understood that , lets say that bat cost 1 dollar more that the ball so if the ball costs 5 cents , that means that 1+0.05 ( to any amount of money that you think the ball will cost , you need to add the 1 dollar ) that is how we get 1.05 ( the cost of the bat ) and after that 1.10 - 1.05 = 0.05 ( the cost of the ball )
@96lopsan9 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks, but this question has already been answer 500000 times...
@codemiesterbeats9 жыл бұрын
+Luis Lopez No you are not dumb... its one of these "brain games-esque" type questions... their are two qualifiers in the question... the total has to be 1.10 and the bat has to be 1.00 more than price of the ball. If the ball were 10cents then it would make the bat cost a total of 1.10 which is more than the known total ticket. So yea its supposed to be confusing just like some of the other questions.
