When doctors do not know the cause of a condition, they often refer to it as, "idiopathic"
@WarblesOnALot
@WarblesOnALot 8 ай бұрын
G'day, Yes..., Indeed. And when they Do know what causes many diseases, they call that, "iatrogenic..." Meaning, the Disease which was Caused by Medical Professionals. Eg, Reichsmarshall Herman Goring had an iatrogenic addiction to Morphine...; In 1923 he was shot in the leg during the Munich Beerhall Putsch. During subsequent Treatment he was given Morphine, for the pain. But as an infant he suffered Traumatic Maternal Deprivation Syndrome ; and having encountered Opiates, Bingo - he was addicted to the Pain Relief for the rest of his life. Just(ifiably ?) sayin', Such is life, Have a good one... Stay safe. ;-p Ciao !

Yes Simon, you are correct. The kidneys can and do wander sometimes, as do some other organs. When in utero my son had two kidneys, but one was much smaller than it should have been. By the time he was born the body had reabsorbed the weak kidney and the good one left had started to move centrally. By the time he was one, it had moved all the way to be sitting directly behind his spine.

When you have doctors just repeating the same test and scratching their head, you do your own research/find better doctors. Diet changes helped as well. But hey, throwing money away on placebos if it makes you feel better is fine too I guess.

As a female cellist, I do actually have a physical issue associated with the instrument right around where a scrotum would be. I'm extremely short, so I can't reach the ground with my feet if I'm sitting in a traditionally sized chair used in an orchestra. So I sit on the tip of my chair and a lot of my 100 lbs is pressed against the lip of the seat, which proceeds to cut off the blood supply to my legs after awhile and my legs go painfully tingly and then numb. I have to bring a shorter chair, for serious.

Benign tremors! Idiopathic is the general word for "no idea what's causing it," but you might be looking for specifically benign tremors. I have idiopathic benign tremors and they're controlled with blood pressure medication -- no idea why, but it works!

I actually do have a wandering kidney... I didn't have any idea until I went to the doctor for a sonogram of my abdomen where the nurses asked me to pull down my pants for a better look. Things did not go the way I was hoping, but at least I know my right kidney is in my groin!

Well I'm diagnosed with a physiological tremor (is that the diagnosis you're looking for?) which means my arm shakes, my left one and I'm left handed, later a neurologist did loads of tests on me and came to the conclusion I was dead due to lack of responses by my body (obviously he knew I wasn't dead as he was in conversation with me) basically ne couldn't work out what was wrong with my arm. My personal theory is that when I was motorcycling through southern Greece I got stung on my left nipple (a major nerve cluster) by a scorpion (hurt like hell for weeks) and that damaged nerves to my left arm.

Yes, more Nightwish! Thank's not-Sam, you did not dissapoint (wait, can we call you Lorelei now instead of not-Sam as Simon actually said your name?). I wonder if I can cross off all my favourite bands through BB this way. So far it's Nightwish, Apocalyptica and Metallica. Also: great work on showing Sam's escape plan. Unfortunately a new one will have to be created as Blaze Boi now knows of it. Wouldn't be suprised if he created some new traps.

I firmly had my mum, my niece and my brother totally convinced he was 48 on his last birthday…for the entire day. He even speculated why it felt like he’d missed a year. I offered that it was probably the one he’d been in hospital for. It finally ended when my brother did the maths and recalled he couldn’t be an even number because it was an odd numbered year. Turns out I wasn’t as old as I’d believed all day and my maths was wrong. Oooops 😳
