WOW! I never even remotely thought Frank had a stutter. This is amazing to see him speaking in real time versus the videos he produces. What an amazing mind! This is the clearest example of don't judge people based on first glance. Frank is by far my favorite person to watch on KZbin.

He discusses it in one of his videos. I can't remember which one though. I think he was making a piece to auction for a local stutter charity....or something along those lines.

Frank is the only woodworking youtuber that my wife will watch with me. After watching one of his segmented bowl videos she turns to me and says "I think we need a lathe". DEAR GOD THANK YOU FRANK HOWARTH!!!!
@paulprice7 жыл бұрын
thesergeant lolol this is soo true. I showed my GF one of his videos and she was like "can you make something like that?" and I said I didn't have a lathe and that's what I'd need to to start learning wood turning. she then replied "you need to get a lathe'
@thesergeant35247 жыл бұрын
Paul, do it, you won't regret it! Seeing this comment was such a throw back for me. I left it two years ago and since then I've learned to turn and so has my wife. In fact, I think she's done more projects that I have. She calls the wood lathe "her lathe" whenever she refers to it or talks about it with friends. Once again -- THANK YOU FRANK HOWARTH!!!

I am a Johnny-Come-Lately to this video, although I follow both ILTMS and Frank Howarth. I have major respect for both channels, but I have to tell that my respect for Frank is 10X based on this video. I am a "stress stutterer", and for Frank to put himself out there is so strong. It just goes to show that what we are so much more than what we appear to be. SO strong.

I'm just now getting around to watching this episode. frank howarth , I had no idea you were a fellow stutterer. I actually got more into making videos for KZbin a couple years ago as a way to exercise my own speech therapy. Oddly, my only fluent video is my one telling about my stuttering. Honestly, my normal speech is no better now than then. But at least it helps me cope and show that people who stutter are just people like every one else. Only some of us are especially talented (just not so much verbally)! I'm proud of you, Frank. You, your work and videos are ask amazing and inspiring.
@SteveFrenchWoodNStuff9 жыл бұрын
Also, I want to thank ***** clagget for being so kind and patient. It's difficult enough when your stuttering acts up. So it really helps to deal with someone who puts things at ease. So, thanks all around to Bob and Frank.

Frank I know you have been hearing it a lot but I just finished watching the show and had to tell you how impressed I am with your work! All of it! Not only is there excellent design in the builds themselves but in the design of the video itself. Both entertaining and somewhat cliff hanger experience in what you come up with next in each segment of a particular video. Art on many plateaus. You're an amazing person and father. Thank you for sharing that with us!

Well, I guess this is indicative of my style - always about 2 years or more behind! I didn't know this video existed until it showed up in my YT feed today... Frank has been a real inspiration to me over the years, and watching & Listening to him struggle through the challenges of a live video has only endeared him further, to myself. No, I don't stutter, but have other issues that have kept me from expressing my talents, and fulfilling my dreams... I have just gained even more respect for a fellow human being, who HAS found a way to connect with others - and has ended up being hugely poplar, even, hear on You Tube. Thanks, Bob, for doing this. 2+ years later, you've earned another sub. :-) - Dave

One aspect I like about Frank's videos is when he free draws his concepts figures and shows the creative process of how he ends up with his final design. He makes his sketching look so easy and casual. For someone like me who can't draw his scribbles are singular works of art all on their own. Then there's Mrs. Howarth's cello playing - have not heard it recently, but it's awesomeness.

I have always said to people in architecture type work they should spend some intern time in the building world at various stages from digging to cement to building to sheetrocking to finshing the project to understand what the meaning of every line they draw to see how simple to complex the project really are. For instance drawing a circle room with triangle inside to divide each room is easy to draw but building this hands on is far more complex than lines on paper. It can be done. Thanks again!
