Brake disc and big tire hoverboard motor | bitDad Electric Scooter build Part 1

Today I am starting a new 2WD electric scooter project, two 36v hub motors from the hoverboard. It's hard to add disc brake and bigger tire !!!

I'm curious... What would have happened if - - instead of welding - - you ran self-tapping screws through the spacers, into the plate? Would that not work the same?

Looks like that bearing was toasted from your welding. Grease leaking out from the underside...

Thank you... but it still small tire... there are 8" hoverboard wheels already avilable.... please do another video but this time with like 10 or 12 inches "inflable " tires pleaaase (inflable i dont know if this word even is correct but you get the point... the ones with air in them) pleeeeease do it

I can't find a fit tire in my country so i decide to make from another size tire, this tire only 2 dollars. If buy a original tire about 10 dollars. This hubmotor only 350w, if you attach 10 inch or more there will be some problems such as overheat or not enough tourque. Video with air tube tire already in yt. Thank you so much!

@@Laamlee-yt aaah i see... thanks for the info... yes there will be overheating ... so i figured i d use 2 motors instead of only one so that i can compensate the overload on the motor.... this way i get much more speed ... i m making go kart.... i can get more speed with more voltage but i have only 48v BLDC controlers... thank you so much... great channel

​@@adelasa689 two motors will double the torque not speed so move quicker but have the same top speed, (eg 12v motor dont use 24v power its to much (doubling original power will kill motors quickly ,stay under double power)..350w x2 is only 700watt plus person plus gokart..result not a fast kart but ok......i built a 2000watt go kart and is fast but not spin wheels crazy fast...(faster motor needs more batteries,more batteries result heavier gokart, heavier gokart needs bigger motor)...and round and round you go
