Ton video m'a donné une bonne idée de maintenir les freins de mon char et m'a aidé à trouvé pourquoi un des pistons a été coincé. Merci beaucoup et bonne continuation!

What about the filter? It filters the small particles.

On Most of the cars There is none but The “Strainer” is really more of a BAFFLE . In vehicles that have a higher tendency for higher “G” exposure ,like Sports Cars , it provides an additional barrier against the fluid migrating to one area of the reservoir. Vehicles likely to BOUNCE excessively or spend longer periods of time at odd angles ,like off road or similar machines ,this again provides some resistance to the majority of the fluid being moving away from reservoir’s bottom port to the master cylinder ,or splashed hard to the top where the vent could let some pass and be lost. As for your own unit ,if it was mostly undamaged there's little reason to replace it. It doesn't affect the air or (gulp!) Water the surface of the brake fluid is exposed to. Getting a replacement as a JUST IN CASE spare can always be a good idea ! Some cars I've seen the baffle can appear to be a filter of sorts, being kind of a fine mesh “BASKET” in appearance. It still serves most the same function keeping the fluid more stable.
