Brake Light Switch Replacement - Volkswagen Polo

Replacing the brake light switch in a Volkswagen Polo Mk4 9N from years 2002 to 2009. If your brake lights aren’t working and you’ve already changed the bulbs and checked all the connections and they still aren’t coming on when you press the pedal, it’s possible that this switch may have failed. I ordered this switch. With the fault still present epc on the dashboard the brakelights still worked but had to press the peddle down hard. I hope this cleares the fault code after reset. Maybe just wornout component. It said fault brakelight switch in the obd2 and an engine light.
