Very recently I purchased an Aprilia Storm 125 disc brake version scooter which, till date, just clocked about less than 100 kilometres or so and it already started producing a sharp annoying whistling sound on the move. The mechanic at the dealership was helpful. He dismantled the front wheel and pulled out a tiny ring types of parts and put the wheel back in its position. That resolved the issue. Now, there is no more whistling sound but an additional 'cracking' or 'flattering' sound appeared in addition to the engine noise with vibration on the handle bar. Even on a very flat, smooth tarmac the journey seems to be too jittery. The 'compactness' or the 'tight and composed' feelings on road got completely vanished. The pickup feels automatically increased - eventually it shows about 40 kmph on the speedo, however in reality, you didn't actually throttle the gear that much. Vibration and whole body shaking persist even on lower revs, completely loss of control and fun riding that it used to offer before. Any ideas???

Hello Bro...first of all thank you for everything that you've shown us through the videos...and my question is that why does my brake drum brake makes some kind of sticky sound while pressing the peddle after 10 km of ride or in the morning...that happens only once then they started to work perfectly but that's annoying....sudden notice... anything you know or want to share ??
@thesportztourer6 жыл бұрын
Hi Ronak, Ask your service people to open the drum and inspect the brakes. Mostly it will be brakes shoes which starts making the noise after they get hot. The sticky noise can also be due to the presence of water or moisture inside the drum.

Hi Dada, what could be the cause of deep lines in the disc rotors? Had to change both of them at 24,000 KMs. Also, how often do you change the brake pads on average? Some people say 6,000 KMs and some say 10,000.
@thesportztourer6 жыл бұрын
Hi, If you keep the Discs and pads clean and maintain the gap then you can prevent those deep lines. Brake pads change interval usually depends upon the riding condition and the riding style. The brake pad which you saw in the video (which I removed and installed back) had done 10k+ km at the time of making this videos.

Once the engine get heat slight tappet noise is occur. I asked showroom people, they opened head cape and did some adjustments. Now the noise get arrested. But still i had doubt weather its acceptable or should i ask for replacement?
@thesportztourer6 жыл бұрын
Hi Gopi, If adjusted properly on a cold engine the tappets won't cause any further problem (normal on a new engine). Your motorcycle is still in run in zone so the engine will take some time to settle in. I can totally understand your concern for your new ride so no need to worry. Congratulations!
