I just got a set of SIM JACK Pro pedals and was scratching my head on how I would mount the transducers to them. Your solution of using the corner brackets of the profile rigs solved it for me. The difference is that I used a 4"x4" aluminum plate to attache the transducers to the to the bracket and tapped the aluminum plate to attach the transducer and the corner bracket. With the cover that came with the corner brackets, it looks great. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

@sim racing corner I recently did this to both brake and throttle using Dayton Audio exciters (DAEX32EP-4). Highly recommend you do the throttle too with wheel slip, it’s especially good for cars like the Super V8 in AMS2. However, with wheel slip you have to a have different threshold depending on the car. For example I have 25 for the Super V8 and 93 for the Mclaren 720s. Good luck.

If you like it, it's not bad ... I've tried the same for a long time and I like the motors more ... I had them years ago when I played with xbox and I put 1 small motor 24V10,000rpm with an adjustable button and it was going very well, much better than fanatec's mini motors ... Now I have several motors to put ... 10 on the pedal board ... 8 underneath (2 gear, 2 front wheels, 2 rear wheels and 2 for drift) and 2 on pedals (past of braking and rpm) 1 that I will put inside the extension of the steering wheel to notice the changes ... and an output for 2 fans per speed. In a few days I will put them, although I am going to put another arduino more, with an arduino you can only assign 4 motors x1 or x 2 or x3 and 4 different effects, I need 8 assignments My 1st test ... ibb.co/9hw8Sv1 ibb.co/12Zv8JL

@@SimRacingCorner I'm starting out with just 2 Dayton pucks and ordered a nobsound ns-20g, it is an updated version of the nobsound ns-01g. Not sure what configuration to use them in, definitely want some feedback in the seat, 1 puck might be enough on the playseat and seen some clever ways people have mounted it onto the fabric with a plastic layer that will vibrate, I will first try both and I'll probably test the other on the brake/abs. I think the Dayton pucks might be overkill for my Logitech g923 pedals, so that's why I'm interested in small exciters with another nobsound, splitting channels for the brake and Logitech G29 gearstick. Appreciate any advise on any suggestions on effects I should setup first?, road, suspension, etc. How many different effects together, can be discerned through one channel, before things get muddled?. Cheers
@SimRacingCorner
@SimRacingCorner 2 жыл бұрын
@@00Clive00 It's tempting to use too many effects, and it will become one big indistinguishable mess of vibrations if you apply too many. Also, it's possible to overheat bass shakers by doing so. The thing to do is experiment one effect at a time, and run some tests on a track to feel if they feel right, then add another on top and test again. It's all about experimentation, Also, play around with the frequencies in SimHub. The default frequencies for an effect may need tweaking to suit your shaker. Here's a useful tip, in SimHub, at the top of the main window (top right), there's a record and playback feature. You can record the telemetry during a race session, then play it back outside of the game. This is useful for tuning the effects.

I actually have the small spinning rumble motors on my setup (DIY build using PS3 rumble components). I have never used them with trainers on but barefoot/socks racing I find I had to reduce the amount of vibration so there are strong enough and they do a decent job. I was interested to know how much better these are compared to what I currently have but they are too big and cumbersome compared to what I already have.
@zeroyum1473

Depending on the amp and transducers you use, you can produce quite a bit more feedback detail and intensity than rumble motors. The transducers also have much lower latency and can produce very different effects based on volume and frequency. I put them on all three pedals, it was amazing how realistic the feedback you could get with the brake when you get into ABS overload. It fells just like a real car. Also, having motor rev feedback in the gas pedal is great. It took a minute to get it dialed in SIMHUB, but it was worth it.

From what you're describing that sounds like you are running just regular audio from your PC to the amps. Is that correct? It's best to run transducers through SimHub with sim racing games, and this will work with the setup you have. It sounds like you have it all set up correctly and should work. This is a guess, but I wonder if the problem is that SimHub is having a problem with 2 soundcards with the same name. What you could try is running one of the amps off a cheap USB soundcard (the £3-4 jobbies). This will display a different device name in SimHub and I think that will fix this.

@SimRacingCorner

Okay, that might be a problem for you, as the 8 and 16 are in reference to (Impedance) Ohm rating of the shaker. The Ohm rating of a speaker/shaker needs to match with the amp Ohm rating range you're using. Amps, especially the types of mini amps typically used with these shakers, support 4/8 Ohms. Mismatching the Impedance of the shaker to the amp will be bad for the amp.
