Crawford doesn't strike me as the type to lay down for anybody, money or not. I think he genuinely believes he can beat Canelo. The Wise thing for him would be to fight somebody like Plant 1st to test the Waters. Crawford is the better boxer. But the issue is Canelo can take Crawford's punch but I don't know if Crawford can take Canelo's punch. Canelo has been punched by GGG, Danny Jacobs and Kovalev.

Madrimov barely got into the pro game with experience for sure but barely fighting any champs.. and even then Bud struggled vs him. Because Crawford, as skilled as he is, it sort of falls into the realm of the big guy beats the smaller skilled guy because the big guy (Canelo) is skilled. Buds is taller but Canelos bone frame is bigger which is why he's been able to do what we've seen him do over the years. Even though Bud only had one fight at 154, his power didn't seem to carry. Because of that, his skill is predicted to be limited because you can be skilled but with this version of Canelo, you need power to be effective and Bud doesn't seem to have that kind of special power. So if they fight he would have to rely on limited resources to win on points. Jab and move. Buds power most likely won't matter because if Canelo can walk through all these bigger punchers than Bud then he's certainly gonna steamroll through Buds power. Because of this ppl are afraid that what does land on Bud would get him seriously hurt. Personally I don't want to see that fight. I don't think that's a smart move for Bud and I don't see that benefitting either man's career.
