Best stride piano style, jelly roll, art. tatum, fats,

Herein' lies the problem. Jelly Roll Morton did not play stride, although he did swing. At Tatum could play stride, but for the majority of his post 1940 carer, chose not to. Fats Waller never stopped playing stride from 1929 until the day he died. Of the 3, Fats is the only appropriate comparison as far as stride pianists /stride piano is concerned

@@stridedude Tatum's played plenty of stride up till his death, such as on the pablo records. Oscar peterson could really stride when he wanted to as well.
