Brambles - Original Story Animatic

It's important to have hobbies. Like botany. And necromancy.
"Brambles" is a short lil' concept I came up with a while ago and then decided to make a full animatic of over the course of, like, four days, cause I'm a mad man.

This is a phenomenal piece of storytelling. The slight discordance in the music, the warped and shrunken perspective of the world, the overwhelming use of bramble green color; it’s incredibly immersive and immediately places you in the right headspace to accept this world as a fully realized place. You’ve accomplished more in a few minutes than many novels manage across thousands of words.

I really enjoy how the storytelling relies on a blend of the words and animation. It isn't as though it's a story told with an accompanying animation, there are parts where one wouldn't click without the other. Good stuff

The gardener is trying to use a strange sort of necro-botany to try and resurrect her "beloved" but each time it ends in horrific failure. So now she spends her days experimenting with the necromantic brambles and killing any that try to turn her love into an undead monster

Wonderful, the line work and the style of the animation are beautiful and despite being an animatic the style reflects it as just a normal animation would. Wonderful and interesting story, I am very excited to see where you go with this and I and definitely crossing my fingers for more on the way.
