Despite being completely silent, this has some of the most fun and zany personalities of any piece of animation I've seen on KZbin in a long while. None of the facial expressions are overdone or exaggerated, but they still convey emotions perfectly. It maybe cuts a bit too frequently from scene to scene to the point it's hard to follow it, but that's honestly the fast-paced action of it all, so I can excuse that. Otherwise, basically perfect. We don't deserve pieces of animation this good for free, and yet here we are.

It has been ages since I last saw this… I remember coming across this video when it was 36 minutes old… I was 13 at the time and fascinated with animation, this video is what pushed me to try and do artwork of my own. headcanon after rewatching this so many times and why it felt off it doesn't make sense the inspector figures out how to open the diamond instantly after retrieving it, so it's not likely that the inspector was chasing the thief just out of her thievery, but rather as a way to safely retrieve the bomb from the diamond, which would mean she was being chased out of concern for her and the public's safety first and foremost which is pretty cute, two mystery solvers aiming at the same goal coincidentally goes hard as a plotline

Here is a list of evidence as well as timestamps so you can see them for yourself. 0:33 the cops and "detective" (henceforth called C and D respectively) arrive before a crime is commited. 1:00 D recognizes Diamond Jack (henceforth known as DJ) 1:58 D knows not to hold it by the top, otherwise DJ (and part of the "diamond") would fall. 2:34 when D catches the "diamond" the first thing he does is open it. As shown earlier (2:17) it's difficult to open it, yet D does, instead of giving up and thinking they won. And last but not least, 2:53 even after seeing that DJ saved their lives and their city, C and D still pin her to the ground. All of these show to me that D and C are evil, trying to destroy the city. DJ is (in my headcanon) the old Partner In Crime to D, but left him when she found out what his plan was. Once D went through with it, DJ stole the false diamond and got rid of it, saving the city.`

Oh my god. This animation deeply affected me. When i saw it years ago i remember being so mesmerized me and my younger sisters would rewatch it time and timw again. The Villain I appear go be was my favorite song. I was so inspired! After this, anytime i would listen to a song i would imagine a little animated music video with it.
