love this as my dad was driving the Greenham crane float with my older brother in it too.My dad helped out a few times as I remember.Thanks for showing this clip,would love to see some more clips of bramley carnival in the 70s.x

Fabulous! we married in 1975 and moved in to westover road there were great carnivals in bramley back in the day, looked for familiar faces but non popped up I did have a go at the welly wanging.

This is brilliant. Was hoping your dad might have filmed the 'float' I was on but I couldnt see it. I did see my neighbour though. So many memories. Thanks for posting.

I remember being there in that year I was six. Never forget the group of men steaming down the hill pushing some kind of float puking their guts up - too much beer.
