I am a huge super fan of Angelina so I'm not criticizing.. Her years from ages 10 to 14 are considered to be her magical years according to many of the angels. Her natural voice without a lot of fancy embellishments is what got her here and it is what will propel her in the future as it is so good and beautiful in itself. Current songs like Suspicious Minds and Unchained Melody demonstrate her more adult voice that is reminiscent of her younger voice, and the vast majority of people really appreciate that tone. Sure, she can sing a song like Mercy, and alter her style and tone, and for a song like that it is appropriate. But when she does that, it has to be right for the particular song. She always made those choices perfectly when she was young and is part of why she's been so successful. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Angelina is that good and she doesn't need a thousand different voices for the world to recognize her. Make proper adjustments for different songs and I think that's all she needs. With that said, that's just my opinion. She is the artist and she will ultimately decide what's right for her, but I think she is experimenting a bit as she gets older and we will see where it goes. The perception of the public is what will drive her direction ultimately as she gains exposure. This particular performance in this video is stellar! Peace out.

I absolutely agree with both of your comments. I, personally, didn't like her NGT days at all, but around 11 to 14, she really was terrific. All this twangy, poor and kittenish diction and whining is awful. Suspicious Minds and Unchained Melody are wonderful, and that is a really nice voice, not all that other stuff she does. You're right. And, I think of all the songs she actually does nicely, THIS is gorgeous. I think the connections are very savvy and Whitney will never be equaled or surpassed, but her voice when she sings like this, is the voice she should stick with. See, she could gargle a song and people would think it's Heavenly and beautiful, for me,I could never be an angel, for many reasons, but she isn't consistent enough. She should shelve her 999 other voices, THIS is lovely and beautiful.
