Brand New Diesel Peterbilt 520 New Way Sidewinder

It’s not every day you see a brand new diesel trash truck in California, especially in metropolitan Los Angeles. Rumor has it the reasoning behind it is that this truck is destined for Waste Resources’ Hawaii division, but in the meantime it continues to roll around the streets of Gardena. I believe this is also the first truck I’ve filmed with a Paccar engine so I thought that was pretty cool. These Sidewinder bodies have also grown on me quite a bit since I started working on some at the end of last year so I’m pleased to see some more pop up. Anyways, enjoy the video and big thanks to the driver.

Nice job Tony! I really enjoyed how smoothly operated this unit was, and I could imagine it on Hawaiian streets. Also neat to see an ASL on city litter bins. This would look awesome if painted orange + a dark grey/black arm!

Really no problems??? Come on where are you people with the problems? We have one with 125 hours and ac only works while traveling. Leaks garbage to mirrors and windows on the way back from landfill you have to stop and clean windows and mirrors constantly..

courty1968 LNG and CNG are so under powered. I’ve ran routes with LNG and CNG and compared to diésel it’s unmatched. With CNG you sometimes have to refuel misroute, it kills time.

They are two different companies, and I believe there is no relationship between them. Yes, the New Way Sidewinder and Labrie Automizer are nearly identical, except for a few minute differences.
