That would be a great comparison. Especially since they’re both up there in price. I feel like the soundboks would be louder, but from what I’ve seen the audio quality isn’t good. Just depends what you’re looking for. This is a great option for a do it all, easy, and portable speaker. It’s small compared to the soundboks so that’s a huge plus for sacrificing some volume. I’m in love with this speaker.

When you pair two of these together, will you be able to expand the # of input channels from 4 to 8?

I’ve just done my first gig with the Everse 8. I was looking forward to being able to charge my iPad whilst using it to play my music. Unfortunately there’s an awful buzzing sound while using the USB connection and 3.5 mm input together. It warns you this can happen in the trouble shooting guide in the manual. I prefer a wired connection as I’d be worried mobile alerts could interrupt Bluetooth streaming.

Great first effort EV but I'll wait for the next model to be released with a dedicated third mic input. It's however very impressive that it has a dedicated XLR output to allow connection to another speaker like the competing Mackie Thump as opposed to its completion from Bose and JBL that have jack outputs.

in what sense? are you not satisfied with the duration of operation on a single charge? I have heard that this is half as much as they write and say in advertising. The battery capacity of the Everse 8 is 86.4 wh, and the battery weight of 466 grams for its 400-watt amplifier is very small to maintain a maximum volume of 121 dB for 6 hours! Do you think so too?

I’ve used EV’s in the past and together with Dynacord they’re legendary and worth every penny. Half a dozen gigs and you get your money back. If you’re a bit of a tight wad tho go get yourself a 20 quid Bluetooth speaker from Tesco 👍

Nice speaker but to use it as a waterproof speaker you can only do this via Bluetooth. If you plug anything into you need a rain cover to use it, and of course you can get a rain cover for most other speakers that cost less. In my eyes a bit of a con as people are going on so much about how waterproof it is.
