The nebula watch is something you just want to add in your collection. Seems like it belongs to a museum, so gorgeous. For me, I don't think I can wear that but would love to look at it everyday. Kinda like one of those of your favourite paintings at home. Too precious to be roughly handled.

I did check and despite what you said G-5600BG-1 doesn't seem to appear on any G-Shock website outside Japan. I imported one. The strap in particular is very comfortable. It reminds me of the GW-5000 strap.

The manga inspired watches are amazing. The effect looks great plus the indices seem like they're more legible than on many other GA-2100s. I also appreciate the gray Beach Time Casioak for having indices that pop more even if orange is really not my color. The Rainbow MTG is up my alley and I like its colors more than some others in that vein, but one thing gives me pause: The strap looks a bit too sedate. I know they tried a rainbow starscape pattern, but from pictures it looks a bit too close to all black. IMO, if you go rainbow you might as well just go all in because you said goodbye to subtlety a long time ago. That said, there's a good chance it will manage to win me over in person despite already having an MTG-3000. Those indices and dials look amazing to me.

I love how much Casio has embraced its position as the "fun and reliable watch". Compared to many other makers, Casio continues to try and be more playful or inventive in both features and design, so that they can have a watch for just about anyone. I wonder what Casio will do for their 100th anniversary, its only 22 years away!

The more I see the GA-2300, the more I like it, especially with the high contrast of the orange hands and black dial, which both work so well with the grey case and strap. Might be a little small, but certainly worth a second look.
