Guinea pigs have been my dream pet since 10. I’m almost 14 and my it’s went from a NO WAY! To “ I think Guinea pigs are cute and me and ur dad will discuss this. I even got a PowerPoint for them and I somehow got them to watch it and they were impressed. I think they now understand how much I care as it’s almost been 4 years 😊

The makeover room was beautiful and the babies will be super happy in this complete space just for them. I read in a girl's comment that her mother doesn't allow her to have a guinea pig because they stink. Girl, I'll tell you this ain't true. Guinea pigs do not stink, they only eat vegetables and fruits (research the right ones, not all vegetables and fruits are good for them. These are served moderately only once a day), they should always have plenty of hay at all times, guinea pig pellets, water, spacious area to run, play and exercise and they love to sleep hidden so cave-shaped beds are ideal. For urine and poop to stink it is because your human is not properly caring for or cleaning his cage or living area for many days. Anyone who is not willing to take the time to properly care for a pet is not fit to have any type of pet, large or small. My mother is very old, has health conditions and has almost completely lost her sight, she has had 2 guinea pigs, and they have been the best pet for her, it is very easy for her to care for, feed and keep her area clean, they are creatures very affectionate and too adorable.

i currently have strep and watching this was so relaxing! i’ve actually never seen guinea pigs in real life, but the other day we went to the pet store to see some (i’m not going to actually adopt from a pet store if i actually am allowed to get a pair) and they’re bigger than i thought! i love your cage setup so much!

I finally got to watch this and I love it! Marshmallow at the end was so adorable. All your babies are! It was totally worth taking your time, your piggies are living the high life! As for the space, maybe consider turning your desk around so you can see your babies or add a comfy chair and ottoman for reading and chilling during little breaks, so you have different seating choices in your day. Stay away from anything boucle…I know from experience that hay sticks permanently. 😂

I got school bred piggies for 2 aussie dollors when i was little and they both died from being outside and freezing to death.. ive done sooo much research for over 5 years after that incident and i have a wild rabbit i rescued from being killed for dog meat and he was supposed to pass away 2 years ago due to their life expectancy being 2 years wild and even less in captivity but hes now 4 years old and very happy in not great conditions and i know that very well. My parents give me alot of freedom for me being 14 but we have always been tight on money, they dont listen to me when i say how the animals we have should be treated or live in the right conditions because we ‘dont have enough money rn’ im getting so unbelievably sick of it and i want to get a Guinea pigs again but i know they will have to be outside where the dogs can run around the cage and scare them, freeze, not have enough support and supplements ext. they do take care of other animals right like my sheep and my dogs but not my rabbit and the only reason they listen to me about the sheep is because they are mine and i have stopped them from being slaughtered for food. Its so stressful knowing my rabbit hutch is going to probably die in a small area and he is not desensitised to being picked up anymore, he is fed well but the conditions are just not okay for a rabbit, let alone one from the wild! Yes im venting a bit but im so so sick of this and they are the ones that need to be informed and it cant be me because i have tried for years, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated ❤ (btw i not only done research on piggies but also lots of animals i would love to get in the future) So sorry for these huggggee paragraphs i got a bit carried away.. whoopsies 😂

The reason I split up the herd in the first place, was because those girls don’t do well with other girls. Boba is very similar to Sage and I’m sure they would have the same issues in the larger herd

Great room! You need a lounge chair and maybe a table for health checks. I would put the storage shelves in the closet to create space for decor, an area rug and maybe some large tropical floor plants ( keep plants artificial so the piggies are not harmed from toxins ) your tattoo is so cute! My goodness, you've done great job on your room, they look happy! If I could add though, there's something I noticed that I wasn't able to see. I recently became aware of this with my own Piggy Room (and home in general,) it needs at least a good sized fire extinguisher (5lb, ABC) and a smoke alarm in that room. I know it doesn't sound very Piggish but I recently found out fire startups can often startup and reach critical in under two minutes, yikes! In case something like that happened I don't know how I'd be able to get my five Piggys out in time. As far as I can figure, it's best to be prepared for this kind of thing for our Piggys and hope we never have to use it!
