Absolutely elevators are always just plain white or plain gray and they just take you out of the experience especially at Disney. They are always so clean and crisp and they feel like an underground factory when you’re experiencing the little mermaid

This place honestly looks amazing... But the big 'oof' that stood out to me was the price of the varsity jackets... $150 USD? As an Aussie, that's $193.95 AUD here... I have never in my lifetime seen a varsity jacket almost $200... Theming or not, that's a 'little' overpriced. Otherwise, awesome store; would be cool to see myself one day.

Awh I went there in Feb this year and the queue was like an hour long and it was snowing and cold.. spent like 2 hours inside and spent nearly $400 😂 still have my chocolate frog and Bertie boys every flavoured beans. YEAH! I mean, if she had, maybe she'd have spent more time figuring out the rules and intricacies! She contradicts herself A LOT and that makes it hard to know what the rules and knowns are. And I'm setting up my Drakonian Trilogy with that in mind. Every rule about WHY something works the way it does, of WHY Josie feels the way she feels, and HOW EXACTLY things happened to get to this EXACT POINT IN TIME with all of the players in their own situations and with their feelings is explained in my notes which I continuously refer back to from month to month to keep it straight. And I've been working on this series for 9 years now....there's a lot...

I love it, my parents will sometimes go in depth and ask me questions that are fun to answer. It requires me to really know my detailed HP knowledge. Another book series I read is a GREAT example of how to set up a universe I great detail. Read patricia briggs book series if u want an FANTASTIC example of how to do exactly what you're referring to

That way you can really go back and make sure that everything flows and links together perfectly. Hindsight is a marvellous tool and often if you just “go with the flow” thing will start to contradict themselves.

I love that the carved Hogwarts crest on the wall has the proper eagle on it! A pity most of the merch for sale seems to have the wrong House mascot and colors. Thanks for showing us this amazing store, Peter! Great video as always! But...some of the merchandise is WAY over priced! I sat here gasping in shock every time you mentioned a price! I used to work for Warner Bros Studio Stores many years ago, and when they first got the licence for Harry Potter, the products were much more reasonably priced! I think over the years WB have got a little greedy with their pricing - they’ll come with with some excuse as to why some products are priced that way, but $12 for a keyring, $70+ for a spirit jersey and $30 for a tee is ridiculous!

Thanks for doing a walkthrough. You did an awesome job in showcasing what the store has to offer, and thanks for stating the prices of items too. I loved all the interactive stuff. The pensieve wand was so cool, especially with the part when you hold onto both Harry's and Voldemort's wands! I was also blown away by the elevators and the floo network!! Amazing. It would be a dream to come to this store. I don't even need to buy anything to be happy because the store itself is such a fun experience, but of course, how can one not be tempted to buy something, lol.

I don't know, I visited the HP store in London and wasn't that impressed. A lot of independent artisans make better HP inspired stuff (hand turned wands, toys, candies, clothes) that you can get at Wizarding festivals and on etsy that are higher quality than the officially licensed merchandise. It just lacks character for me. Like I'm not jumping up and down about any of this stuff. The experience of visiting the store looks pretty cool though. It's worth it just to ride the floo network elevator.

Yeah, it would be nice if at least *some* of the official merch got the Ravenclaw mascot and House colors right, too! It's almost like they *want* book fans to go unofficial!

I was thinking the same thing. The store decor is amazing with all its theming. But everything i have seen so far is for fans not for us who want to feel and be apart of the magic. Like were are the displays for Nobel Collection? And like you said get some independent creators in there to show off there talent like Danny DIY and others that can make legit prop replicas!!!! Give us more magic. They went far but for us HP fans its not far enough we want to step into the books and movies. Not just see them but experience them.

@@coolgamerig Trouble is, they're too big and obvious, they can't get away with selling unofficial stuff without adding hefty licensing fees, which would jack up the price. Small fry on Etsy can get away with it because TPTB can pretend they don't know about them.

The Harry Potter store is not far from me, so I briefly checked it out. The items seem cheaply made and obscenely overpriced. Yes, it’s an interesting store and fun to check out, but a lot of the “collector items” seem pretty throw-away and something that will be gathering dust.

yea maybe like a small ford car that harry and ron flew in the top left of the shirt or something like that because everything there is just HUFFLEPUFF *or any different house* in a different font
