BRAND NEW John Deere S780!!! -

Border View Farms is a mid sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. We raise corn, soybeans, and wheat on a little over 3,000 acres.
My name is Nathan. I run this channel and farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. I get questions about how and why we do things on the farm frequently, even from my own family members, so to help explain things it's easier to just show you. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture in general as well as dispel some of the common misconceptions.

you can stop some of the dust being attracted to the combine by static electricity by bolting a length of chain to the rear axle and letting it drag on the ground , seemed to help on ours !

I have done the Deere tour tour twice, very cool! I can just imagine how cool it would be to do a gold key ! I would recommend the combine tour to anyone that is going to East Moline area !

That is an amazing piece of machinery. The next new combine you buy, 6 or 8 years down the road, will probably have a lot of voice activated controls on it. If you want the lights on, you'll just tell it to turn on the lights.

Demo’d a s780 last year and loved it! We’ve ran case flagship combines for the past 10 years and finally felt like Deere has an acceptable grain sample for seed beans. I’d love to see a video about some of the issues you had on your 680 and what to look out for on them!

You’re right Nathan, MY21 unloading Auger turret has a different higher angle to the older machines on the 26ft and the 28.5ft auger. They do not unload faster though. Did you get to use the combine advisor package on it?
