I have a 2017 ck3510 hse with the cab, and pre safety junk that’s given us about 600 hours with almost no problems. Shift linkage in the gear lever broke and the linked pedal cable wore out is about all. My neighbor loved mine so much she just bought a 2022 open station with the back hoe. Jumped on it to start teaching her and I almost couldn’t get the damn thing started till I figured out it has to be in neutral AND the parking brake depressed. The whole shut off when you get off the tractor thing is a pain too. Mine has none of that nonsense and thank goodness for that

All the safety junk drives me crazy too. You get used to it and find some workarounds.

2 year old post but I just found this...I have a 2021 DK6010SE HST Cab. As of today (2 April 2024) I have 247 hours. I had Kioti do the 50 hour service. (Knock on wood) I've had no major issues with the tractor. I did bust out the rear cab window with a 3pt. post hole digger attached. Hit a dip in the ground to fast and it rocked the post hole arm into the window. I'll have Kioti do the 250 hour service too.

Mr.Curtis Sir, you are one "smooth-operator" on you New Kioti. All them "pesky hot-cake sensors" to rool off the assembly lines in the last 2 years has plagued many a new tractor Owners. My two tractors (36 & 54 hp) with 900 hours combined ( still very young & different manufactures) have preformed flawlessly. Reason as such, 4&5 years old, and PRE-C V D -- a-lated. Thanks for the great Video Sir and happy safe tractoring.

Thanks! I went back and forth on buying new vs used and at times wish I went used. I can say one thing right now is I'll be using every last cent of the warranty they planned on using on it. Hopefully one of these visits to the shop it will actually come back completely fixed.

My brand new 4052r john deere check engine light went off at 8 hours. Code was for fuel rail pressure low, they sent someone out yesterday, and are coming to get it today. Got to love new stuff and all of the electronics.
@Curtis18243 жыл бұрын
It's crazy! They had to call the Kioti rep to even get what the code was without hooking the tractor up to a computer themselves.

Its just a check engine light, its not a twisted crank. Relax they can all do it.
@nichethought61063 жыл бұрын
If it is a desiel it could be regen required. They hit about on the hours. Needs to run a high idle to clear code.
@Curtis18243 жыл бұрын
That's what I was hoping, but they said it had to do with one of the injectors... we'll see what they say!
@Curtis18242 жыл бұрын
It was a bad fuel injector sensor. Haven’t had a problem with that since they fixed it.

Should cut down to a 3' stump before digging - easier to maneuver. Looks like plenty of room there to do that first. Also trees and large shrubs can have strong roots. Dig further out from trunk where the roots become smaller
@Curtis18242 жыл бұрын
Typically I do. This one was a little more spur of the moment and since it was a smaller tree was going to try and use the extra leverage to get the roots out a little easier. Slow and easy with the roots is the way to go!

Make sure you don't idle the tractor a lot, the new emissions systems like running HOT! If you run them at low rpm a lot you will have emissions problems on any brand of tractor.

@@Curtis1824 running under r2500 RPM for a while will cause it to go into regen mode as the diesel particulate builds up.. and filming with it running low enough to allow you tot be heard will be really difficult to manage as I've seen.. hence no videos of mine yet... operating speeds are too loud for good video...if the regen light comes on (it usually throws the check engine at just that time too).. throttle up and let her run until the light goes off.. 15-30 min..and try not tot use the hydraulics while runninig less than 2500 rprm

@@VolgClawtooth I was running a little low while getting used to the backhoe, but other than that typically run around 2500RPM. It ended up being a bad crankshaft sensor throwing everything off. Now that I'm use to the controls, I'm running the backhoe at 2500RPM as well. Hopefully things go a little smoother now!
@newhampshire-bob16043 жыл бұрын
Yes, tractors and cars and such have soooo many sensors now you can’t fix them yourself without hooking it up to a computer ☹️. Fuel quality is a big thing for diesel, there are additives for jelling, additives for algae, how is the burning of the fuel changed because of these additives? I am looking at getting a DK 4710 SE with cab in the spring, can’t wait!

I suppose everyone has their favorite color, but John Deere sources small tractors globally, primarily from Japan. The only thing American made on them may be the person sitting in the seat. For what it's worth, I loved my JD 2305. However, it had a flawed gear box that tended to break (expensively) around the PTO. I got rid of it before that happened. Also, the PTO engagement valve would sometimes stick and I'd have to take it apart to get it working again. I also wound up changing the front axle shaft seal twice within 70 hours. In short, every color of tractor is going to have issues. What matters is the dealer support. A good dealer makes all the difference, regardless of the color of tractor.
@RealJohnWayne2 жыл бұрын
@@justman777texas2 You Sir are ignorant about that which you speak. John Deere produces their 1-2-3-4 Series Compact Utility Tractors in their sprawling state of the art factory in Augusta Georgia, where they have produced more than 1M tractors, for sale in North America, and exported around the world. "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸

@@RealJohnWayne In a polite society, folks don't call other folks ignorant unless they intend to be rude. You may be correct in that most CUTs are produced in Augusta, GA, these days, but my JD2305 had a "Made in Japan" sticker on it. It's obvious you like or work for John Deere, but other than the premium price you pay for the green paint, there's nothing I've found that distinguishes a JD over any other tractor manufacturer. JD has more dealers in the US, but the few dealers I've had the "pleasure" of working with could care less about their customers. Too snobbish. Same with my local Kubota dealer. It's the dealer that makes the difference, regardless of your tractor color. Case in point, my Kioti dealer drove 2 hours at their own expense to help me out with an issue, and always answers my calls and emails. I couldn't get my JD dealer to drive 5 miles to do the same without a $250 service charge.
