Nice winter project. The KRX already looks good so its a good blueprint to start with. Nice build! The stock KRX cage is waaay too high.

Really like that cage! Any chance you can put together a build kit? Bend all the tubing and ship them out? I have the welding ability but not the bending.

You mentioned in one of your videos about a heat shield for the KRX 1000 any more information would be appreciated

The newer models krx come with a plastic heat deflector for in the front end to help direct the hot air off the fan/rad out the sides rather then back into the center console. You can order it from dealer and install it on older krx models hope that helps!

Looks amazing now I want a KRX! What did you use for paint? I assume it was sprayed? I have a raw cage that needs painted for my Pro XP4 looking for ideas that are not powder coating.

We sprayed this with stainless steel in a can I think we used 3 cans it’s a silver stainless look and lays on really easy makes touch ups in the future a breeze

It’s slightly different than steel it about half the cost and a little more shiny compared to steel it. It’s called stainless steel by Seymour. And we just sanded it down by hand and shot it quick

Not in Ontario Canada I don’t even think we have wardens? Never seen anyone on any trails checking anything.

I have definitely seen them on the ofsc trails while sledding! But we are yet to come across them on a sxs we mostly ride crown land trails in the sxs though which are not monitored in any way really
