There's a model builder in the UK titled World of Wayne doing the Fanhome Knight Rider K.I.T.T. and is nearing the finish. And is doing other fanhome kits as well.

Hi, I live in Puerto Rico, and I'm currently in stage 38. I've already bought in advance all the mods from Mike Lane (except the tow bar which I'll buy later on), the engine components kit from Model Modz, and almost all of the mods from Ken Beard (I met him at the 2023 SKA event where I bought the lower console and the tow bar). Can't wait to get them installed on the car.

Favorite April episode: Return to Cadiz because some filming took place just outside of where they filmed Rockford Files. I'm 55 and my 22 year old daughter and I watch Rockford files together and one day figured out that the location was the same.-Roy

2 years ago they launched a Lada 1:8 model by Hatchette here in Bulgaria, now they launched a Trabant 1:8. But to collect all pieces I'd have to pay a total of more than 1000 euro which is insane... I assume the same or even more if they launched this KITT model here. The actual models are amazing though but cannot justify so much money for them imo :D So thanks for recording everything so I can see the model in its full glory :)

Wow, Joe very entertaining. ( As always.😂) Unfortunately, I can't get the fanhome Knight Rider KITT. It's too expensive for my blood. Lol. But I did get the next best thing.... About 2 or 3 years ago I made KITT out of clay and I tried to make it as screen accurate as I was able to unfortunately. It didn't come the way I wanted it to. I still have it but I would prefer the fanhome KITT better. Until then I'm stuck with the clay model. (I probably should have made it the convertible KITT because it's just the roof that looks off.)

I started with the monthly Fanhome purchases about 1 1/2 years ago. I have NOT started building my KITT yet. I have all stages up to stage 62. Each stage is still in its original shipping box. I hope to start building mine soon.

Currently building one of my own, just received stages 67-70 in the mail yesterday. Also have a bunch of the mods from Mike Lane, including the floor mats and heel and toe pads, front and trunk carpets, door panels, and dashboard grills, plus the power supply mod from Modelmodz.

I am building it also..I am in on issue 74 you doing yourself a disservice by missing out on the carpets though Joe...you need to get your self a set of those and some mats! It does volumes for bring the interior to the next level!!!!

i started my a few months before you, i finish stag 66 already, and waiting for 67 to 70. i have all the upgrates from Mike Lane, including the monitors, it make the model look better, i did my onu modeification to the stereo by adding an stiker and painting the air conditioner controllers,

Thanks for sharing this site, Joe. Between this site and Mike Lane Mods, fans can have a super detailed rendition of KITT. I really like the battery and Alpha Circuit that they designed. I'm making my model as fully in-universe as I can, so I intend to add a lot of gadgetry under the hood. I want to add in turbo boost nozzles under the frame as well. I've basically built the engine for mine. I'm collecting the stages in a bin, so I can build a lot of it together. I'm doing the same for the Ecto-1, also with a ton of personal modifications. I'm also going to build the '66 Batmobile Fanhome is going to release this month. Am I the only one who wishes the cassette with the mod looked like one of the Decepticon tapes? I think Ravage would absolutely blend in being black and silver.

Joe, you know what would be really funny, the next time your battery really runs down and is almost depleted, you should show on the video (across the entire screen in big letters like we see in the movies), that the battery is running low, with the battery's power symbol. Favorite April episode is a hard choice as season 2 had many great episodes. Diamonds Aren't a Girls Best Friend would be the top one for me, followed closely by Blind Spot well because the character that was in that episode had the name of Julie. Only 3 of the episodes from season 2 that I didn't care for (ring of fire, race for life, and big iron). I don't know how people have the patience to put all that stuff together for a model. I tried to put together a 69 Dodge Charger skill level 2...I had enough of it after a couple weeks and its still in the box after 15 years. Its better watching someone else do it than trying it myself...lol.

I realized the engine and trans is modeled after the 4th Gen Chrysler turbine engine that is in Jay Leno's car. In was puzzled at why everything else was so accurate to the trans am until I saw a documentary on the Chrysler Turbine on YT.

How much does a FanHome KITT cost once it's all added up? I love how intricate that model is.

It was $1400 when I started, but they increased the shipping and handling each month at some point last year. Probably closer to $1500 at the moment.

I love Bonnie! She did a lot more for K.I.T.T. than April ever did! I felt as if April was more of a secretary than a technician, whereas Bonnie was more technician than a secretary. It's just something I picked up. I could be wrong, but that's how I feel

No offense, but I HATE it when shortsighted so-called "fans" do these unfair comparisons pitting Patricia (Mcpherson) vs. Rebecca (Holden), especially since no one invited it. Rebecca Holden had NOTHING to do with Patricia Mcpherson getting fired from the show after the first season, and I found Rebecca Holden to be every bit as delightful to watch as Patricia Mcpherson. While it's unfortunate we couldn't have both wonderful ladies on the show at the same time, I was as happy as anyone to see Patricia return and remain with the show effective the third season. Rebecca Holden did a number of episodes I truly enjoyed (in no particular order), including Goliath, Knightmares, Soul Survivor, A Good Knight's Work, Return to Cadiz, Blind Spot, Diamonds Aren't A Girl's Best Friend, and Goliath Returns. A number of these are popular with fans too, lending enormous credibility to Rebecca Holden's performances during the second season. But for crying out loud, please stop with these ugly comparisons that pit one cast member against another. It's one of the UGLIEST and most UNFAIR things I see in the Knight Rider fan circles, and in fairness to both beautiful wonderful actresses, I'm going to be the first in asking for it to please stop.

I like both April and Bonnie, they both had their own gifts to bring to the show. You have to remember that they were following the scripts they were given so apparently the writers had different ideas for how each character was to be. As far as the actual person Rebecca is a wonderful sweet lady who I have met in person. I never had a chance to meet Patricia as a incident at a Knight Rider event in 2004 messed that up and she doesn't come to events anymore which if what I read was correct, I can understand.

Ohhhh man this Fanhome has been a Nightmare. Since October I can’t move forward because of the wiring issues I have fan Home has sent me replacement parts and still have not fixed the issue. This is the wiring comlink problem where the scanner doesn’t work and now after the replacement parts. F lights won’t work. Been waiting for two weeks now for fan Home to get back to me on this issue. I just feel like saying them back this quarter built frame and get my money back at this point.
