I have got the Elite K.I.T.T. with light and sound some years ago, next to the BTTF DeLorean, also with light and sound. Absolutely awesome models.

Great collection of Knight Rider cars, very cool models :) Good idea to black out the foglights in ERTL models as they weren't too accurately modeled. I have the Hotwheels 1/18 KITT and KARR, and also two ERTL KITT's and ERTL KARR + other scale versions :D Modified the first ERTL KITT to look more accurate, for example cutted the pillars between foglights to make one wide opening per side. It's the first release from 2004 which had the orange outermost foglight. Modified also ERTL KARR by correcting the silver paint and painted the pillars black between the foglights. The second ERTL KITT I have is the later version with all clear foglights.

I only ever got the first 1/18 models of both KITT and KARR. Was always happy with these even though the headlights don't flip. And glad I still have them today. One great opportunity I feel they missed out on was they gave both KITT and KARR the S1-2 dash. I'd have given KITT the S3-4 dash so KARR would've still had the S1-2 dash. So that way the two cars would be sporting both dashboards between them like they did in the episode "KITT vs. KARR". KARR's also missing his own license plate seen in "KITT vs. KARR", so I actually printed one myself.

13:30 the original appearance of car he didn't have a license plate in the scenes where you could clearly see the rear, unlike the season 3 version where he had the KARR license plate so I think it's fitting that when you flip it nothing is there.

I have several of the Ertl 1/18 Kitts and Karrs I've got one of the Chrome Ertl 1/18 Kitts still in the box. I have the 1/18 Elite HW Kitt and a few of the Diamond select 1/15 Kitts plus one SPM 1/15 Kitt and the EE Exclusive 1/15 Kitt with the Michael Knight action figure. I have other Knight Rider toys from the 80's, because this along with The Dukes of Hazzard are my two favorite shows of all time.

@@SA-zoom1 Nice! I have two of the Hitari Kitts still boxed, one opened that I played with, two unopened Hitari General Lees and one that I've played with. I have several different 1/18 versions of The General Lee including the Autoworld Silver Screens one. The Autoworld General Lee is the most detailed General Lee ever in 1/18. The Danbury mint one is just as detailed if not more, but it's 1/24 and I missed out on that one, and I refuse to pay the appreciated price for one lol.

Also the Hot wheels elite KARR looks fantastic. I love the fog lights in the front grill. Looks perfect. Although I do wish the KITT model had those fog lights too. I happen to like KITT with the fog lights. But they have to be correct tho.

Hi, got mine from ebay in Germany many years ago. But I think they are long discontinued so you might see one pop up on ebay but they are very rare now.

I have the Hot wheels elite KITT. I agree the tires are wrong but the rest of the model is very good and detailed. Where did you get the tires that you replaced yours from? I'm thinking about doing that to mine. Except I don't want the white lettering tho. Would any 1:18 scale car tires work for it?

A very nice video, but it bothers me that none of the 1/18 Kitt models manage to get the bonnet/nose shape right. I don't know how they manage it, because there are accurate drawings of the '82 Trans Am readily available. The Greenlight 1/18 trans am does have the correct shape, but it would need a lot of modification.

15 years ago I ordered kitt and 3 more film cars including ghost busters ecto 1 from USA, they never arrived I was cheated because the website offered shipping by ship which was cheaper and told me wait up to 3 months, by then I couldn't claim paypal refunds anymore and was so gutted. Right now a kitt costs above £400, back then I think I paid £50 each. :(

Yeah they are! I had two HW Elite 1:18 scale K.I.T.T. cars that I sold in 2014. But when I bought them initially back in 2012, I paid $100 for each one. Back then, I thought paying $100 a piece was alot. Now, they're averaging $500-$1000.00 on ebay....That's an absurd amount of money!
