I had this idea that Ash's Gible evolves in Unova when they went to the Village of Dragons, and fought against Drayden's Haxorus (would lose, but would still be a great fight). Then in Sun Moon Ash brings out his Gabite against Brock, evolves to Garchomp and wins. Then in the Ultra Guardians things, his Garchomp would be flying him around like how Kiawe's Charizard did

I think the only reason why they didn't let Ash have Wimpod was because they had Ash finally catch Litten in the literal next episode. Also, because Golisopod is Guzma's ace... even though Guzma wasn't introduced until *WAAAAAY* too late into the S&M anime(and the fact that it's never prevented the writers from giving Ash the same pokemon as an opponent or antagonist in the past).

Yeah I seriously dont understand all the giving ASh pokemon iconic trainers have as their ace. Like... why? We dont ened more of the same pokemon and the worst is that they always use the excuse of "It could have a rivalry with it!", like bro not every pokemon of the same species need to have a rivalry. Also Pikachu was the ideal one to fight with Golisopod, since he is Ash's ace and symbolises their bond (what they were trying to teach guzma) and therefore it's a battle between aces (not including the fact that Pikachu had lost to it earlier on). Plus it would be very confusing if two equal mons were battling to see whose is whose

@@theboiclobbopus2342 I think this is due to a multitude of reasons that compound upon each other: *1)* There was a clear and consistent formula to what Ash's team would look in any given region, a formula from which the AniPoké writers only very rarely deviated before Journeys, which made building his "current-gen" team both predictable and problematic in terms of... y'know, not being complete embarrassing garbage; why this was such a heavily-enforced formula for so long is still unclear to me, but the most logical-sounding one that I've heard is that the writers/execs wanted Ash to be a "safe" blank slate that brand new players and/or *THE* youngest possible kids can identify with(which was obviously very hit-or-miss in execution). *2)* The anime writers outright refused to give Ash any Pokémon that were introduced in a gen/region before the current one to fill out his regional roster(again, before Journeys), the only exceptions of which seemed to be if it could either evolve into a "current-gen" Pokémon later-on or immediately be pawned-off to another "less-important" character; this is compounded by reason 1. *3)* Some gens/regions had an almost pitifully small number of new Pokémon of any given type(that isn't a starter or a legendary/mythical) to choose from/work with, which was *ESPECIALLY* bad in Sun & Moon for reasons that are painfully obvious to anyone who's either played the Alola games or looked-up the list of *NEW* gen 7 Pokémon; obviously, this is compounded by reason 2. *4)* Pretty much all of the newly-introduced Pokémon in each gen/region are either the aces of or are otherwise used prominently by other major characters, be they canon to the games or exclusive to the anime; this is, of course, compounded *heavily* by reason 3. There are most likely many more reasons than just the ones I listed off, but these were the ones that I could think of off the top of my head. TL;DR, this "giving Ash other characters' iconic Pokémon" trend in the fandom is most likely the byproduct of all the writing/executive decisions, both good and bad(mostly bad), that the AniPoké staff have made over the years in relation to how the composition of Ash's regional teams have traditionally turned-out...

For Ash’s sinnoh team I would give Ash a fully evolved Garchomp and I would give him a Lucario and have his buizel evolve into floatzel as the water/dark typing would be great against Tobias’s Darkrai because it would be immune to dream eater and resist all it’s other moves. For Unova I would fully evolve Snivy and Oshawott and also give him an op Hydreigon. Finally for Kalos, I would have him bring back Charizard, Lucario and Garchomp so they could Mega evolve!

Considering Goh will already have a Rillaboom soon enough, it's kinda unlikely. Ash never had the same Pokémon as his travelling buddies, as far as I remember. He didn't catch Dragonite until after he disbanded with Iris.

People have to know that torterra lost his battles because it faced only powerhouses elite four pokemon (none of ash's pokemon would have defeated hyppowdown anyway ) a type desadvantage (drapion was a beast) And let's not talk about ash's stupidity against volkner Other than that torterra was pretty good

My timeline difference: Ash caught Dragonite in the kanto safari zone, Gengar: same as the talking Gastly, and Lucario: the Riolu from the Pokémon dp Ranger episodes. Mega evolution is his pidgeot (in my universe he reunites with it sometime after catching Dracovish), and gigantimax is Corviknight (same Rookidee from the galar fossil episode).

My idea for ash’s perfect galar team would be pikachu, dark urshifu, corviknight, dracovish, Intelion and Colossal. Team rockets would be morgrem and drednaw. Maby they would have a galar yamask and cramorant. Cramroant would probably bewear as a pokemon that follows team rocket.

I think maby peonia and Marnie would be cool Ash companions. Not Hop i think, since he is maby gonna be the new Gladion and he has the same goal as Ash. Its a little weird for Ash to only travel with girls so maby Gordie or Allister. There is another gym leader for Gordie’s town too replace him. Bea could also be a companion. So maby Hop and Marnie.

I know I'm late but most of the ideas are good, though I do have some ideas I came up with: Kanto: Not a bad assembly, though I would also include Magnemite from the episode where Ash caught Muk and make it a fully evolved Magnezone. Johto: I think Bayleef definitely needs to be a Meganium and Quilava needs to be a Typhlosion. Nice choice for Espeon and Tyranitar, though. Hoenn: I still think Corphish should become a Crawdaunt, because after losing to Misty's Politoed, it's safe to say that Corphish really should have evolved into Crawdaunt. Some additional members that could work for Ash are Sableye (Movie 16 has Ash befriend one in the movie), Grumpig (the recurring Spoink from AG) and Exploud (same reason as Grumpig). Sinnoh: I don't agree with Turtwig being kept in his base form. Snivy is exactly what you thought Turtwig is supposed to be, yet it proved to be a disaster in the Unova League (all speed but no evolution in form and moveset proved to be shortsighted). Also, I feel Buizel should have been a Floatzel, given that the writers neglected him in the latter half of DP cause of Infernape and has a poor win record. For Snover, I'd make it an Abomasnow. Unova: For me, I would fully evolve Servine and Dewott into Serperior (Serperior can still keep her personality she had as a Snivy) and Samurott (six consecutive non fully evolved main protagonist owned Water-starter premise was one of the contributing factors to Greninja's creation). Overall, quite good choices. Kalos: Cool choice of Shiny Phantump/Trevenant. Alola: Agree with all that. Plus, I love Golisopod. Journeys: I'm not okay with Rillaboom going to Ash, since Ash is a Champion and he has to use other mons that are not starters. I also would evolve Morgrem into Grimmsnarl. Overall, great video!

I honestly stopped watching after the mention of ivysaur because personally I loved so, so much how Ash respected his Bulbasaur and Pikachu, what they wanted etc. Also the Rillaboom in the thumbnail, easily worst Galar starter IMO. (I don't dislike it, I actually just think Journey's decision to not give Ash a Galar starter was very, very good.) EDIT: Came back after watching the hot takes video and how handled that as well as subscribed. Disagree with you on some things but Sun and Moon was great.
