I wish I could play it, I don't have anything it came out on. I keep hearing this over the years and tbh DS1 and 3 are tied for my favorites. I like the atmosphere of 1 more but the gameplay in 3 is so good.

i do have to say that for me Elden Ring sucked ass, not because its a shitty game, but because i simply dont enjoy singleplayer games that are this fucking hard as i dont wanna tryhard my balls to the walls when playing a singleplayer game and as i know how hard it is as evryone says that it is, i have never tried to play Elden Ring. so i do have a reason not to play it and a reason to say that it isnt my personal GOTY, tho i can understand as to why people say that it is a GOTY and nothing surpasses that game this year, i personally still dislike Souls-Like games.

It's not that hard but I am not fan of the gameplay, it feels like trash. You have to put those shitty controllers to the absolute limit and I would rather cheese the game than master a game I do not enjoy. I would rather play Ocarina of Time, it may not be a challenge but at least you can control Link like you want.

@@RandalfElVikingo Thing is i am also not going to master a game that ill prolly only play through once and then never again in my life. Souls-like Games dont really have any re-play value in my book, due to the fact that i have actually played Dark Souls I and II (which i still regret to this day) i dont really feel like that these games deserve any hype in my book. i do know that people love a good challange and all that, but holy shit are Souls-like games not beginner friendly at all... i still remember going into Dark Souls II first cause that was actually the first Souls-like game that i have ever touched and i actually didnt fucking know what to do and i also remember going left and then there was a big bear that just shredded me immediatly at the beginning and i was already fucking pissed cause i was like: "wtf? such a hard enemy at the beginning? what kind of shitty game design is that?" and then i literally quit the game till touching it again like 4 years later after i actually suffered through Dark Souls I. (all because my Ex-GF wanted me to actually try it out completely.) ended up in me being very aggressive through the day as it literally put me in such a bad mood that i used way too much sarcasm and irony in evry fucking sentence cause i really felt like punching someone at that point... i never had that with any game and to this day i dont know why my mood went this fucking horrible when i played a Souls-like game... and since then i'll never touch it ever again cause its like as if you're playing a game where someone didnt know wtf they're doing and just punched the screen to place enemies and all that. not my type of game and it will never be. hate that genre and i will always hate it.

Lol, I hate Elden Ring because its balance is dog shit. Takes 45 minutes to down a boss with sword and board but you can run in and use a kamehaha beam and 1 shot it. The open world is also terrible, try playing it coop. Walking around through empty woods because you can't use your horse is not fun. Coming from somebody that's completed 1 and 3 multiple times, I don't understand why people love it so much. It's okay, but it has its issues. I thought it was a 7 out of 10, tbh. That being said, I had more fun being invaded in Elden Ring if the invader that isn't using magic it is fun. Also copying and pasting bosses together towards the end of the game to up the boss count is completely lame. Honestly, I like Dark Souls 3 a lot more just because it's not open world. A game doesn't deserve universal praise for adding a jump button and making it 'open world' lol. And ER is absolutely not open world, there's required key items and bosses to progress points in the game. No more than RE2 is open world lol. Also, some of the boss fights are complete trash. There's a reason none of the boss fights bar DS2 use grabs, shit is so stupid and lame. Boss turns 90 degrees mid attack and grabs you out of a roll and 1 shots you. It's garbage lol.

And I only mention completing DS1 and 3 because idiots come out of the woodwork gEt GoOd like that automatically excuses flaws in the game. I do agree though that it probably deserves goty, there wasn't really any competition lol. God of War might beat it but meh, not really a fan of cinematic games so not really my place to call.
