just stumbled upon ur channel and damn very impressive , I got 3 vivs and one aquarium myself, was wondering what u think the best type of moss u recommend for darts. I have a lot of devils hair growing it really grows quick and big. its like watching tigers hunt in tall grass when u feed the frogs, also u think a single fire belly newt would get along with dart frog/s?

I got a keelback that I had similar issues as with your russian tortoise. It would eat but, only *lizards* which are expensive! I was told that it would be eating fish just like my garter snake. So basicaly I bought something with the expectation is was going to cost me like a dollar a month and it turned out it would cost me like 24 dollars a month... Not what I agreed to so I took it back. Love your collection!

you can tell the difference between tortoises by tails. Males tails are longer. And females tails are stubby and short. Also you can tell difference by the plastron (lower part of shell). Males go inward. And females are flat.

My chameleon costed around 220$ but the price will vary depending on where you are located. Anywhere from 12-14 hours of light daily and food costs me for all my reptiles around 20$ a week.

Hey love the room! I have a chameleon for myself, and wanted to comment on how to tell the sex for any age. For males, on the hind legs, look at the back of the foot and you will see bumps or spurs. For females, there is no bump at the back of the feet. And the more obvious, males have a more pointed crest verses the females rounded crest. Thanks for reading!

I have 2 african fat tail geckos. Both happy and healthy. Thee people before me used to breed them together. Im wanting to get them out of their seprate tanks and into 1 big 30/40 gallon tank. However I dont want eggs :/ and I know they will most likly breed. But how often??? Will they just continue to breed all the time? Or will they only breed once or twice?? My girl is starting to get pretty old and unintrested, she makes me hand feed her criskets haha. But my male is soo adventurous he never wants to be in his tank, he hunts crickets like no tomorrow. They are both happy and healthy. And I think theyd do just fine in a tank together. I just dont want to have to throw away eggs, or have my girl get stressed from him always being on her. Idk i just want advice really. :/ I think theyd be mych happier in a big tank together with lots to do rather then 2 small seprate ones. But im really not sure. And i dont wanna go and spend $800 on new gecko stuff just for them to not get along and have to seperate them all over again .-.

You could try to have them together but if he starts breeding with her to much then you should separate them because that much breeding will cause the female to get to stressed and she could die of a lot of stress.

Everytime I see one of these videos I feel like my bearded dragon's enclosure is shit. Anyways, your reptiles all look beautiful and the enclosure look really nice. I'm planning on possibly adopting a couple anoles or crested geckos and I have a, about, 20 gallon tank. For humidity, I'm planning on creating a small foundation inside the tank with a small stream running leading from on end, with a small waterfall, to the other side were it will be filtered out. Any suggestions on what to make the foundation out of? I'm leaning towards either silicon/spray foam or wood, that I'll cover with substrate. Opinions?

How do you find really exotic reptile stores? I only go to a fish store that sells common things or a p store. I can't find a store that deals anything more exotic than a steppe runner.
@MikeTytula
@MikeTytula 9 жыл бұрын
A good place to start is reptile shows, for sure because that way you can find local people that aren't necessarily a store that care cool reptiles

Also what is a good species for intermediate care that isn't over 60 dollars normally and 20 gallon below I have an extra terrarium

Domination Reptiles honestly man save up and get something nice! I mean a fire skink is pretty cool and can generally be found cheaper
@plutaz61
@plutaz61 9 жыл бұрын
I do like fire skinks, just the stores that I frequent tend to not have them. But I'm only 13 and make 6.50 a week buying something even if it's as cheap as a fire skink would take months.

Doesn't 55$ seem a little much for a BABY Pygmy? I can get adults for 30$ and veiled for 45$ at the reptile shows and you'd have to ship which charges us extra.... I don't mean to be hater (cuz I luv ur channel) but I just think that's a little much. I'd suggest lowering the price a little.

I had a similar set up as a young teenager. Then eventually I realized I could get laid more frequently with a bedroom that wasn't a zoo. I eventually settled down with a woman who loves animals, so now I breed B.Rainbow boas like I always wanted to. A big dog, 4 cats, a pond, and fish tank. I suppose I haven't changed when it comes to pets but I had friends with set ups like this who eventually grew out of it permanently. Good luck kid. The next step is growing weed. Man I miss those days. Oh well, life is good.

UncleBully2000 you sound hella insecure, you really think this rrally inhibits your ability to get laid? A quality girls admires your passion for hobbies, a mediocre at best girl makes you give them up. And you speak as if getting laid the purpose of your existence. It's good and all, but a very tiny portion of your life, you should not ever take a loss for something. Maybe one day you'll grow out of such childish ideologies and get a life. good luck
