12:20 - exactly! No downtime, no lost clients, no missing pay-cheques! Maybe a couple of other suggestions for the manufacturer chap, lanyard, or something, used so the rear knobs aren't lost if they come loose - if you're riding you may not notice until too late... After the decals/stickers are applied to the top plate and before it is fitted, spray it with a clear coat to help protect the decals from wear and damage?

When I had my lawn care business I started with a 36 Wright stander....hated it!!!! Deck wasnt a true 36 was like 37.5 so forget getting in smaller fences. Wright used kinda narrow tires on the back so with me being over 6ft and 230lbs at the time after a cut or 2 it would start to leave wheel indents on the lawn. Traded it for a 36 bobcat hydro walkbehind. The 48 Wright was nice cause the balloon type turf tames so better foot print and no wheel indents. As for sit or stand...honestly I like them both, but I but my knees like the sitdown better. I'm in the process of moving down with Florida or Texas(still looking at properties)and restarting lawncare so think I'll give these Cubs a look.

This looks like a well thought out machine. I personally have over 4000hrs on mowers. I've personally retired a Toro Grandstand @ 2000+hours and a ferris is2000 @ 2000+hours. With that said I will only purchase standers going forward. This mower is missing the most important thing IMHO and that is an operator controlled discharge chute. I've added them to every mower I've had since I first discovered them. It would just be nice to see a mower come with them from the factory. I replaced my Grandstand with a Wright Intensity and I really miss the ability to be able to walk behind it in certain areas like wet soft spots and such as I'm in the 6ft+ and 250lb+ category. I wish it had a way to temporarily bypass the safety switch in the platform so I can mow while walking behind it. Maybe we will these options in future generations of this mower since Cub Cadet seems to take user feedback from actual users. Overall though this looks like another solid option in the growing number of standers. It's my opinion that standers are the future for commercial cutters.

Cleaning under the deck, sharping or replacing the blades, changing engine oil, fuel capacity, rear discharge and if needed clipping pick, roll over protection, operator fatigue, lighting, winter attachments, where do stand behind mowers gain ground against a sit down rider (especially a Walker) ?

It went from my bottom of the barrel brand to the first thing to look at. It’s easily in my top three brands now. It’s the only stand on I’ve ever run that holds a hill like my Super Z. The thing about warranties is they're only needed when the machine isn't designed, and built, properly - the manufacturer doesn't need to factor that, and related costs, into their pricing. Back in the bad old days, there was a lot of crap around and so warranty repairs were frequently needed - ALL those expenses would have been incorporated into the retail price the consumer paid. It's a version of 'do it right, do it once', for futher reading, you may want to check out chaps called Deming, Juran and Crosby, who revolutionised manufacturing back in the day. FWIW, they were basically ignored in the USoA but were embraced in Japan - that was why the Japanese cars and bikes were so reliable, especially compared to domestic, back in the sixties and seventies - still are, but rest of the world is catching up. They made a big impression on my during my student days, that still remains! Primer here - study.com/academy/lesson/deming-juran-crosby-contributors-to-tqm.html

The warranty is outstanding. I am one of the Florida guys that runs over 1000 hours a year on the machines. One concern. Twenty years ago cub cadet made an attempt at entering the commercial ztr market and had a fairly innovative machine. They left the market very soon after launching. Are they going to take the time to build their market share this time around? The warranty isn't any good if they leave the market after two years and lose dealers. How's their distribution set up so dealers get parts quickly? I own another stander made in a similar color that lost all dealer support in the immediate Tampa market because it took three weeks to get parts to dealers. I not have to drive to St Pete or plant City (an hour away in both cases) if I need repairs made. I truly hope they are in the commercial market for the long haul

How do I demo? I want this mower but have never used one, if I could demo I would feel better about dropping $8k on one.

you asked for our opinions, so here is mine. Game Changer is a strong evaluation by you. I doubt the Cub Cadet is a game changer. I agree some of those features are improvements over the competition....but mostly they are going to be incidental improvements. For me, the reason you buy a mower is for the deck. It's cut quality that reigns supreme for us. We run scag Vrides and even though they have their issues (lose bolts for one), they cut better than the competition...especially in wet grass (morning dew and rain). So before you announce that Cub is now the king in stand ons....lets see the cut quality. Good video stan.

(price $$ not "withstanding") Mine is dependability- ease/cost of maintenance all combined firstly.. Cut quality ("3rd"... Scag have a tri- stack plate design on their decks that here in FL rot to holy hell once you start not pressure washing in between those plates weekly under the deck, GREASING 14 zirk fittings and dealing with bringing grease In the house for dog to ingest after trying for 3 months to find a Chinese made grease gun that works longer than 3 tubes worth is in my "ease of maintenance" category as well.. DONE wirh greasing if you can't purchase a halfway decent gun to put the crap in with piss on it great post, sorry to ramble lol

Stan I would like to ask a question? Side discharge or rear discharge better? I have only used side discharge mowers. I have always thought a rear discharge would be nice.

Side, rear is better distributed and won’t clump as easily but they don’t stripe well. Get the side, your clients will love you

A great idea for the platform is add an anti-fatigue mat to stand on. My guys complain that their feet are sore/tired.

Running Gravely Standers (2-60's and a 36) myself and Cub certainly looks to have a solid product...I would miss the super easy cut height adjustment, foot deck lift peddle, walk behind capacity(sometimes that is nice even just for a wee bit), integrated wheel motors(just less foo foo). Cub certainly upped the warranty game though. Not liking that oil filter access with all that suspension foo foo...eeek Having to remove stuff to get to stuff(operator pad & deck cover) Drop a Cub off at my local dealer, would love to see how it compares though.....

Looks like a great machine but some of the additions would become inconveniences like loosing the knobs but not compensate that it’s a great machine

Was thinking same thing, those will loosen constantly if you don't get medium strength locktite on them quick, and those rubber bunjy strap locks ALWAYS break.. bet you'd be running that thing without the deck cover within end of first summer

Love my stand on.. I bought a brand new V-Ride II last October and I absolutely love it.. But I've tested just about every standard out there and I have yet to find one that cut's and mulches as well as my Velocity plus deck. I have the 23.5 Kawasaki on mine and it's a 52". Cub has up their game but the fact there are no grease fittings and a small gas tank is a huge red flag for me. Every 2 weeks I grease my deck and what a difference it makes! I'd say to each their own in preference but I'm a standard guy from here on out. Even thinking of trading my 52" Cheetah in on another one and going strictly to all standards. Thanks for your input and video. Much appreciated.

Im terry from the uk i wish we had your type of machines over here with that same type of build they are amazing. I have worked for our local council grass cutting and there is nothing like that type of machinery the ones we have are slow and really hard to work on. The stand on one is the one i would go for the 3yr warranty is amazing. Bess wishs and god bless from Terry and family
