I can't believe how good the bridge of this song is. Jesse spends the beginning of the song kinda accepting that the relationship is over, and trying to move on, but in the bridge it feels like he can't move on, he can't deny the fact that he loves her, and ends it with one of my favorite lyrics of all time: "You are the smell before rain, you are the blood in my veins" and that's when he gives up.

@screamorockstar really i never looked up the lyrics, but I have loved this song for years and was one of the ones i would go to to help me get through a perticularly tough breakup for me (one where i thought it was all my fault it didnt work) the usual emo stuff.
