Wow first capture of trial run. BTW this VB will have a special record. This will be the first VB in the country to operate on twin single line section. Secondly this will be the first VB to operate in a newly electrified section where VB will be first electric train

great..personally I think 8 car VB is good.. if they want more capacity they can couple 2 trainsets together.. just like they do with TGV in france. I don't know if our VBs have that option.. but fingers crossed to see a Vande Bharath MU one day😅

Technically, it should not be an issue, because VB architecture is modular, and meant to be flexible, like what you suggested.

Current railroad distance between the two stations is around 257km. Direct line would reduce it to 196km.

At the rate it’s going, at least 3-4 years. (If you see the latest yearly budget allocation, it’s 10% of total cost, hope it’s not 10 years to completion).

@@NatarajanC12119 Budget allocations will continue to change. Hopefully this line gets more attention in the next few railway budgets. Now that KA is Congress, I am not sure whether to be hopeful about that. I am in the US for the last 30 years, and don’t know the local political machinations.

The signal was at «attention» even after the train had crossed it. Do we have a problem here?

No issues on the signal Its a distant signal. The axle counter for change of signal is tied with the controller signal, in this case its the Home signal of Yesvantpur.

This is going to be the flop vb... It will be empty all days... Even the timings are bad... Janshatabdi will be the preferred one from sbc to ubl with lower fare. Even after doubling and electrification the speed is low on this route.. Vb should be introduced in sbc-sc route which will be high on demand..

What a fountain of optimism! 😌 I feel the initial time table is conservative owing to newly laid double line sections. Once earthworks settle down in a few months time, I feel they will increase the speed.

Bro you are filling more water to the fountain... Wah... Nice guessing... Btw I support and talk for the common public... People travel and prefer lower cost as compared to the high fares of these trains with almost same timings... Shatabdi was a flop on this route and was converted to janshatabdi which is a hit as you can see.. If vb had been introduced on sbc- sc route it would have been a hit since there is a high demand on this route..

@@vijaycool7017 Shatabdi might have been cancelled, but that was before route doubling and electrification. Also, Hubli-Dharwad are the second largest cities in KA. So, you can go back to SC, we are going to be fine here. One more thing - the speed is lower right now because of the newly laid lines. They want to make sure earthworks are settled and stuff before speeding it up gradually. However, nincompoops like you with no patience and no knowledge like to squawk a lot.

The final timetable will be out after the trial run on 19th. Lets wait before judging. The same was said for other VB's. Currently most of them have good patronage.

@@NatarajanC12119 Vb is doing good on other routes I agree... Sbc- ubl demand is less as there are too many trains and also vb's are introduced on high demand routes.. vb on sbc-sc will be a hit... Just my feeling that on sbc-ubl section vb will not be such a hit after initial days or a week.. The intercity, janshatabdi also run with many empty seats on majority of the week.. new special day train runs empty... Just feel the trains are more on this section or the people commuting are less...
