@radawn Vnigma I don't think so, I don't think Kegan is lost and Brand came to be, I think Kegan finally found the source of the magic of the world in the shape of a world rune, and got obsessed with it, the idea of true and easy to use power, but a power so strong that consumed him made him mad, and turned him into a monster he is now, a mix between the damaged young adult that felt only hate for his whole life, the one person he thought loved him preferred an arranged marriage over him. And the raw and huge pure power of a world rune being consumed by all this feelings in the body of a promising mage, and there it is, Brand is born!

@radawn Vnigma I think that's not canon anymore man, on Ryze comic you can clearly see that Brand knows Ryze, and has a past with him, that would not make sense on the version you are talking about, I think this voice line in particular was originated from the old lore of Brand, where he in fact was this vessel for a more powerful being, but what's the point of making such a cool backstory for Kegan if we will toss it all away with the "Kegan it's merely a vessel for Brand" when we talk about Aatrox his vessel it's not even mentioned as someone with a name, with Varus we have such a cool backstory too but I really want a new voiceover with Kai and Valmar in it, or it will be as pointless as this one if the "vessel" thing it's true. Brand has to be a new name for Kegan once he finally achieved the power that he so desperately needed, and fell into madness seeking more and more power on a endless hunger or I fail to recognise the objective of that new lore...

I thought brands origin story was that a wandering explorer in the freljord found a cave with a corpse on fire inside. A part of the fire encompassed the man, taking over him and departing. This new man of fire became known as brand, captured and turned into a champion for the league of legends. But he was and always will be only a candle next to the sun that was his source. Did riot change that too or did I just find fan fiction?

This was remarkably sad. The villages distrust and hatred to an innocent mother and son is exactly what created Brand. Their superstition and exile created exactly what they feared from Keagan. They sorta made him like his father, full of hatred and disregard for those he hurt. When he hurt Zvanna that was so sad. His rage and thirst for revenge took him with out thinking of the last person he cared about. Whole story is so sad. Zvanna wouldn't be with him because the village made him into the monster they perceived. I wonder why his mother felt responsible for healing and caring for the ones who mistreated them. That was a major aspect.

Real talk, screw those people. Screw the whole village. It's a shame Brand didn't just go for the whole thing instead of just the village elder. Even his friend ended up a two-timing betrayer. To just give into your family's whims and be wed off without any say or even just standing by as the whole village belittles the person you call a friend is almost worse then just being alone. For Brand, the closest person to him still won't stand up for him; the things that can do to a person growing up while he's trying to figure out who he is or where his place is in the world. Homeslices should be glad this isn't an anime. I'm getting some serious HxH vibes from Brand's lore.
