Car manufacturers makes most of their profits from parts. I've not doubt Bugatti have adopted (free-will or otherwise) VW's approach to maintenance gouging. If I was wealthy enough to afford this car - I would need to be a Billionaire to justify it's purchase - I would definitely look for alternatives to those parts and post these finds on the net for others to follow. The Bugatti Chiron is my favourite exotic dream car, but the maintenance cost is the stuff of nightmares.

THE REASON WHY THERE IS A DELAY IN SHIFTING FROM DRIVE TO REVERSE, AND ALSO REVERSE TO DRIVE. AND YOU HAVE TO TAP THE SHIFTER TWICE. IS TO PROTECT THE TRANSMISSION FROM DAMAGE, WHEN MOVING FORWARD OR BACKWARD. SO THAT EVEN IF THE DRIVER SELECT THE GEAR, THE TRANSMISSION WILL HAVE TIME TO SELECT THE GEAR PROPERLY, WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
