I know this is a pretty old video now, but I just have to say how much I appreciate seeing a bunch of ways to use the same element. It got me thinking way more about how it fits into the flows I like instead of repeating whole sections of stuff. Even found a few other easy ways to set up branding that I’ve just fallen in love with. So, thanks!

That’s great feedback. I really enjoy the episodes where I get to dove into concepts and elements rather than teaching a trick verbatim.

So good! Your tutorials are top notch. Way better than most I’ve seen

This is awesome. One simple variation I like is when you end up in whatever that generic triangle-shaped mount is (if you unroll from 1.5 and land on the string), then roll everything clockwise outside and then between the arms, and continue into 1.5, you end up in the branding mount. It's not really simpler than or cooler than your variations, but it's just another smooth pathway to branding from a mount that you naturally end up in all the time.

Oh man, the spinmaster Brent Dellinger I had no idea that trick came from him. Super interesting history and variations.

After watching this video a handful of times I have now got the hang of Branding :) Love the variations but they seem way harder.

Right on! Yeah, the variations can be pretty tricky, but I think some of the methods for getting into the basic Branding mount are easier than the original method.

what is going on at 10:54?? What do you call that "bind"?
@DocPop Жыл бұрын
I don’t know that I’ve named it or heard of any other names for it. You start from within a bind, then just grab the sides of the yo-yo in a “talon grind” and let the yo-yo wrap up while you are doing the talon grind. I love it.
