IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION: This bill is being passed in the United States, but can effect ALL artists. There's 2 things to consider: (1) This is NOT based on where an artist lives, but where the fans consume the streams occur. (2) That means that because we are in a global economy and most streaming platforms are global, an artist can be in Europe and have fans consuming their music in the U.S. So those streams would fall under the mandate. And to be even more clear, countries ALREADY have different payout rates. This is nothing new. The U.S. already pays more than other countries. They are just raising the number even more (if this passes)

I watched them subtract my numbers. Also Spotify kept taking listeners away from me and I made 56 albums, they left me with 7 followers, so I eventually i bought their plan for 40.00 a month. That bill won't fix anything because spotify and youtube will simply move the comma to the right 3 more places until ur 3k views projects as 3 views.
