He grew up a Giants fan and then into a Giants hall of famer and arguably the best shortstop in team history. 2 World Series rings with that same team. Four Gold Gloves, three-time All-Star, and a silver slugger. That's a dream career and he earned it. I'll never forget that stunner of a grand slam in Pittsburg off Volquez. It's hard to remember all his stellar defensive plays because there were so, so, so many of them. I really hope both he and Brandon Belt come back to the Giants in some capacity at some point. They are so loved and I would love to see them mentoring the younger guys. Later on, BCraw. Thank you for being a Giant and playing your damn heart out.

Brandon was an amazing player. He can be proud of everything he gave to the game. As far as a one day contract goes, I don't see the need. He had a send-off because the organization was not going to renew his contract. Brandon wanted to still play, even though the best of what he had was over. His retirement announcement shows he has finally accepted the reality of baseball players all have to stop playing at some point. He will always be a beloved Giant. Brandon Crawford will always be one of my favorite players. He can still be around the game. I would like to see him analyzing players. He probably has a lot to offer with all the time he spent playing. Best wishes and happy life.
