It's a true testament to how wonderful the Traveling Wilburys were when you watch each of these guys doing their best to fit into their George, Roy, Jeff, Tom, Bob roles. The Wilburys melded together into something so overpoweringly beautiful that all 5 of them just reveled in being together.

@@ColdSmokes The fact that he did this so soon after his mom and dad is a testament to the strength of Weird Al. I auditioned for him over a decade ago and I saw him in town a couple years ago and he remembered me after all the people he has probably met in his life and hugged me--what a sweet guy!

+chickadee I have all of his Al-bums (get it? Al-bums?). He is good on all of his songs. He knows what he's capable of. He'll admit himself that he is limited. He sticks with what he can do and he's good at it. His range is better than mine, that's for sure.

I've got a new-found respect for Brandon Flowers. Man is clearly a fan of the WIlbury's, or at the very least bothered to learn the lyrics of the entire song, because he sings along the entire song. Respect.

Al Yankovic is one of the most consistently underrated musicians of our time. For years, people have overlooked him just because of his genre-- as if him doing funny music affects his musicianship. He and his band are fantastic musicians.

There are so many different videos of artists gathering in tribute performances. I think I enjoy this one so much because of the eclectic nature of these particular performers. This is both a testimony to George's effect on the musician community and his son's friendships with those artists. (Oh yes...and seeing Weird Al in this was awesome!)
