I've always liked this song but felt it just missed the mark, because the tempo was taken too slow--it's clearly a rocker and I wanted to hear it at the speed of, say, "Savoy Truffle" (a song that it musically resembles). So imagine my surprise to hear this outtake, which is at the exact faster speed I'd always wanted to hear it--now if only this take also had the horns and slide guitar lead!

Increible😳 💕💓😌🙏🏻🥺😱

Beautiful song. The passage where Nicky Hopkins piano solo carries into George’s solo with the acoustic guitar in the background is a thing of beauty

I know many songs from George Harrison but never heard this one and suddenly it’s there. Perfect timing and what a gift this song is. Just beautiful and so inspiring. I will always remember this moment. Thank you George for the beautiful music you left behind🙏❤️

I discovered The Band while serving in the Navy during COVID-19 and found out Robbie Robertson passed away on my way back to the states. The Band is absolutely timeless. Rick Danko is beating the hell out of that violin, Levon Helm is drumming to absolute perfection, and Klaus Voormann is keeping the tempo going on the bass. Also, George's vocals sound so much more in tune to this song than Ringo's did on his version.

I've always loved Ringo's version of this song, especially the fact that I knew was playing in the background of it. But now that I know there's an actual version of George himself doing it? It's magical. I might love this even more. I think it's something about the way he performs it and his voice, but both are amazing, and I'm so thankful this is in the world now, you're always around us George ❤❤❤

Always liked this song. I first heard it by Ronnie Spector. Prefer this version with the slide guitar s rather than the strings.

I hear two acoustic guitars: a 12-string, which I presume George is playing, and another 6-string one. Does somebody know who is playing the acoustic 6-string guit? Thanks

So great the drum separation in this mix, with Ringo on the right and Jim on the left. You can perfectly hear with each of the two is doing. Also the separation between sax and slide guitar during the solo. Only thing I wanted more was to hear more sitar during the "spiritual sky" sections

I used to think of "Savoy Truffle" as just a "filler' song for the White album, because the next song was the Lennon classic "Cry baby cry" but after hearing Dhani's version my opinion has completley changed.
