I left Brandon in '66 so tjhis brings up so many memories like working summers at the Brandon Gold & Country Club in high school years and later training at the BMH. See that little square atop the center of the building it was called the Tower where as many as 8 guys lived during their training.

3:10 I grew up in the area in the 80s and 90s and I always remember those white buildings sitting unused on the Keystone grounds. It looks like they're being kept up now, hopefully they're put to good use.

Great video. That's not the Centennial Concert Hall; it's actually the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium. The Centennial Concert Hall is in Winnipeg.

It's the Research Station, not the Experimental Farm - a Research Station is a bigger deal as far as Agriculture Canada is concerned. My dad was the superintendent there from 1966 - 1980, and my mum would go berserk if someone called it by the wrong name.

Oh, and by the way, the hospital on the north hill was officially the Brandon Mental Health Centre. I worked there as a student for a few years.

The building at 1:09 is actually the former “Central Fire Station”, also was known as “Fire Hall 1”, not the “Second Fire Hall”. This building is now the Prairie Firehouse restaurant, and is not an active fire hall anymore. Nice shots though!

That building is the second fire hall built, at that location, in 1911. The first firehall was built, at that location, in 1892.

I am a licensed drone pilot and my aircraft is registered with DOT. Moreover, my drone, (Mavic 2 Pro) will not fly until you do a download update. That update has ALL the exclusion zones in North America. If I was inside the restricted zone, my motors will not star. Are there hacks for this? Almost certainly, but the penalties are simply not worth the risk. It is a wonderful feature because you don't have to learn were and how far you are away, from those zones.
