Brandon Lake did a concert at my church and I can say that he was very intentional about bringing glory to Jesus and not Himself. It was a great worship service. He isn’t Jesus, so I don’t expect him to be perfect, but from my experience with him, he honored the Lord above himself.

I had discernment about Maverick City singers shortly after they blew up and people constantly sent me their songs as to be some blessing to me, but the LORD shows me deeper things and I trust His leading above any opinion. I refuse to listen to anything that delights in the ways of the world. Part of transformation through Christ is SANCTIFICATION, and John 17:17 says the Word sanctifies, it is therefore evident and grevious which self-professing christian artists are NOT in the Word nor being sanctified by it. Well done brother Marcus for exposing unfruitful works of darkness according to Ephesians 5:11. As the days darken more discernment will be needed! Respectfully, the second definition of 'crucified' is to severely and unrelentingly criticize someone. I see nothing wrong with him using it as a figure of speech, Brandon Lake's honoring of God throughout everything I've heard out of him and a concert I've attended, which included him giving Glory to God, many prayers. A call to prayer to accept Christ that resonated with over half of the 13k attendees! When he asked if anyone said that prayer or however God led them in prayer of accepting Christ if they wanted to raise their hand. Over half of 13k people raised their hand! They walked in DEAD, destined for Hell. Walked out Saved to spend Eternity with our Lord and Savior.He could've just sang, left and went on his way but he is being obedient to God by leading others to Christ. He gave all the Honor and Glory to God taking zero credit for leading them, and planting seeds. As it's ALL GOD not us. Instead of judging others on how they phrase things. Seek God first.Lets love others & be a positive light for all. Lift people up instead of putting them down. In the Bible it says, we are to crucify ourselves daily. Read the word and really grasp what is actually meant on those passages. Those people interviewing him as well. (I ain't saying they aren't, but it can be seen when the word is read in your own understanding and just letting the Spirit lead.)

One of the problems in modern day christianity, is that we have alot of people not truly repenting and turning from their sin. Like I destroyed my phone with a hammer and it burst into flames, to fight against my addiction. When we say we are disciples our actions should reflect that of Christ and what you are discussing about in this video are just a few things that is taking place. Christ has already won this war, it's our job as disciples of Christ to follow and do what the bible says too the best of our abilities. I have been fighting addiction for years, and one thing I have to focus on is a hewn down tree approach on the stuff that causes me to stumble. Take out the garbage, we can't say we love Christ but choose to follow and dabble in the world. We have to turn away from evil, this is easier said than done, but it is important. It is VERY difficult to find biblical worship music. I have never seen you & I’m happy KZbin recommended this video. Over 20 yrs ago I was obsessed with secular music (Beyoncé in particular) & the Lord pulled me out of that. I’d listen and my spirit would be at unrest. I moved to Christian music & over the last few yrs that spiritual unrest somewhat came back (not all Christian music, of course). I’ve been listening to old music now, hymns, and music written that is scripture (that’s my favorite). This is a great analysis of what occurred and how we should proceed, in Christ. I really was loving the purity of Brandon on the videos he did with his family, doing wholesome things like bike riding, etc, but I had big red flags when he suddenly seemed to get very commercialized, changed his whole demeanor and look, videoing himself in a completely different light. He wasn't persecuted either, he was criticized. Persecution is what happens to Christians in other countries that aren't allowed to profess the name of Jesus. Christians in the US don't know persecution yet!

@@KSPotts Actually no that's not true. That's not the definition of persecution. persecution can happen to any religion or any type of group of people regardless of their beliefs. For example, Racism is a form of persecution. He was persecuted. that doesn't mean his beliefs were right, what it means is he believed in something and a group of people disagreed with his beliefs and showed their disapproval openly in a way that attacked him. Persecution can happen regardless of whether the person is right or wrong. Persecution is criticism but not all criticism is persecution.

Brandon commented that Jesus wouldn’t have left the room. First he can’t speak for Jesus. Secondly, if Jesus was upset and wrecked the temple you don’t think the Grammys made Him anger. Vengeance belongs to God. Not just Brandon but the other Christian’s there should have got up and left. Although I generally like Brandon's music and I think he's an authentic Christian, as a Christian, he showed poor judgment in using the word crucified. No one has suffered more than our Lord and Savior. Being criticized comes no where close to being crucified and he knows it.

Why should we as Christians get offended by things the world does in an attempt to upset us?? If I went somewhere and they were talking bad about my mom, what good is it if I get offended as the world would and act accordingly?
