Casual take. Blazers are one of the worst & slowest teams in the NBA right now. Scoot had to adjust, but if you look at the stats and games. Scoot has actually been IMPROVING. Hop off your knees, buy some new knee pads. Stop with the glaze.
@joelco92
@joelco92 6 ай бұрын
@@justinwin-yj7kmYeah, but even with the recent numbers Scoot still isn’t playing that great. He’s playing alright for a rookie, but is inefficient while putting up decent numbers. Nothing special. And the Hornets are also one of the worst teams in the league. Usually one of the worst teams in the league would mean a rookie would put up BETTER numbers, but Scoot can’t even start half the time on a crappy Blazers team
@justinwin-yj7km

@@joelco92 He’s been improving little aspects of his game. His playmaking has gotten 10x better, his pull-ups, 3’s & midrange have all been improving as well. You guys forget scoot was literally injured for a bit and was also sent to the G League to take time to recover and warm back up

A big reason as to why Brandon Miller was struggling during the summer league is because he was dealing with mono. He’s done a great job getting back into shape and showing those same flashes that he showed in high school and in college. Really excited for his future and hopefully he and LaMelo are the start of something amazing in Charlotte.

As someone who’s painfully watched every hornets game this year he has been consistently getting better all year. Month to month he makes noticeable progress. Early in the season he was turning the ball over a lot, and now his handle has tightened and the only time I’m happy with a hornets shot is when it comes from him because he feels like the only efficient player on the team. I was also a huge summer league doubter of him, but he has entirely proved me wrong and could be borderline all star level as soon as next year

It’s channels like this that cause the overrating of players. This entire era is full of overrated stars because of media hype and podcasters. Let the man play a season or two before he is crowned anything. He didn’t make the leap. He just had a couple good games. When he does it night in, night out..then say that. Stop helping to ruin careers by helping to create a narrative of ability that has yet to be consistently proven.

I’m a Hornets fan. I thought at the time that the Hornets should’ve picked Scoot. I always thought Brandon was gonna be a good player, but I saw Scoot as the better player and with a higher ceiling. It’s just one season, but so far it’s looking like MJ got it right for once. Beyond the skill and size, he also has a great mentality and energy, and that’s something this team desperately needs. You can see it in his body language and in how he competes, he’s got the “killer instinct.” He’s one of the few guys on the team who goes out every night and looks like he’s actually trying to get a win. The team seriously needs a full reconstruction tho, because we have about 5 guys right now (that aren’t injured)who actually belong on an NBA roster, the rest of them are basically g league guys
