@@benjaminsnead3379 statistically speaking, yes. It's up there with heroin, if not far, far beyond it. I understand the context which is why I said "how many commercials for heroin do you see?" I know alcohol is one hell of a slippery slope, *largely* because of how thoroughly it's been normalized and targeted towards children, similar to joey or whatever, the walking talking camel who's 'so cool' because he wears a black leather jacket and smokes squares. But I guess I don't see someone that has abused alcohol fit for the term junkie. Sure it will obviously lead to trouble, but when you're comparing the two for what they really are, I don't think alcohol is even remotely severe as heroin, and alcohol is fucking TERRIBLE. Two totally different leagues in my eyes. I cried at the end when Ryan hugged Novak, You could see how hard he hugged him and that he clearly gave a shit, I wish I could have saved my best friend Alex, he killed himself by shooting heroin, I constantly blame myself and I’ve never been the same since, him and I were in recovery together and he was the only real friend I have ever had, it’s crazy how positive happy and caring a person can be even when dealing with the most inside, Addiction rips people apart, I would do anything to see my friend again. I would do anything to know what he was thinking to talk or even hear his voice again. He was the most free spirit I have ever known please don’t do heroin. If your ever my friend and I catch you I will beat your ass because I care do the same likewise.

Man the love Ryan had for his friends was so real it hurts. As a former heroin addict myself clean 9 years now. It hurts me knowing what Ryan must have felt in that moment and how defeated Novak felt knowing he's addicted and he can't control himself and you can tell it was tearing him and his friends up. 😢 really hits me in the feels seeing this because it just reminds me exactly of what I put my friends and family thru and it fucking hurts knowing I hurt so many people around me without realizing I damage I was doing. 9 years later and I'm still making up and tryna fix all the broken promises I made and all the people I hurt

Sad part about addiction is the people being the harshest to you are the ones who care the most, respect to Ryan for confronting him on what he was doing, a lot of people are blind and let things slide, true person will get in your face.

It's weird to think how Ryan ended up killing himself and the passenger of his car because of his actions. The hindsight here just shows how weird and nuanced addiction really is. I'm just glad that Brandon actually beat his addiction. I hope they keep fighting it to the bitter end. Wish Dunn never died, and I wish his mistake didn't kill another person. Life is weird.

Novak. Love you, man. On the same boat right now. Quitting Tina and a few other addictions. Alcohol, weed, television, video games, H, it doesn't matter. You're addicted when it starts eating away at your life, and you watch yourself in horror fall victim to what you already lost control to. You're literally fucking fighting who you are, what you've become. Know that you and all the addicts out there-you guys are not alone. "When you get the message; hang up the phone".

Breaks my heart. I’m a recovering addict and I get it. You want SO badly to stop, you want SO badly to stop disappointing and lying to those you love... but the withdrawals kick in and you’re sicker than you ever imagined possible and you’ll do anything to make it go away. It’s being a prisoner in your own body.
