Brandon is such an amazing teacher. I've watched all 3 years of his lectures that are on youtube and you can see how he continues thinking, learning and reforming his lessons so that they get better and more precise/informed. He always has something worthwhile to say. I am so grateful for these lectures!

It's really funny because you can see his creative mind ticking when these story ideas are being talked about. As a storyteller, there is nothing better than the one thing that really opens up a universe, and it is always something small. You see the whole story all at once, one time, and then it closes up and you have to work to dig it all back out.

I like what you are saying here. It is hard work but if the foundation is there, it is possible. These lectures are helping me see that.

I really want to be a successful fantasy author someday, and I look up to Brandon more than any other writer whose works I've ever read. I'm so glad for these awesome lectures. They've really helped me a lot already, and inspired me to keep working on the story I'm currently attempting to write. Also, I can't wait for the third book in the Stormlight Archive to come out. It's so far away! D:

These are so amazingly helpful. I'm 40 and a writer, well enough regarded, but even I'm learning different ways to do it. I think it's improving me. Thank you!

I WANNA GO!!!! My favorite author and my dream of becoming a published author. I totally want to go here, maybe one day. Just not now, I can't relocate for a class, but I would love to meet Brandon, he's just a unique person and an excellent author. As I said, maybe one day I'll get a chance to do something like this. Thanks BYU and Brandon for publishing this. You guys are wonderful!

Making stories is easy and instinctive to me. The problem I have is the skill I write with and the way it sounds. I also straight up hate my own writing (not the stories, the basic mechanics of it).

I really want to see someone paint that Picture with the artist being locked behind bars and the mad businessman running away cackling with a big pile of papers over his head :D
