It’s likely because you can’t access the Smart Stack from the Siri watch face. They seem to be pushing Smart Stack a lot more this year. But things could still change since it’s beta 1

Fuck I wish they’d just allow proper face customisation like Garmin. They are all terrible. And Fitness needs a MASSIVE overhaul. Let us use metrics people actually track like steps at the forefront and make it easy to see how you’re going across the week. Live step count complications without the need for third party apps. It’s just weirdly backwards

going out of the sleep mode by holding for 5 seconds was the one thing that bothered me a lot! i had even submitted it as a feedback to them, that just in case one needs to track heart rate or ECG quickly in the night, it's too long a wait. Thankfully they've changed that!

You never said that in widget mode the digital clock has changed in appearance. Now it doesn't have a circle with seconds on it. That's too bad, I like to see the seconds as well. Maybe if the watch face was set to show seconds, the widget mode would show seconds too.

I still cannot believe they haven’t opened a watch face store at this point. It’s been ten years of Apple Watch and the amount of watch faces available is pretty lackluster. Imagine if companies like Bethesda could release an official fallout watch face, or smaller designer brands could make beautiful typographic watch faces, Apple is basically closing themselves off to a revenue source and also something that would legitimately drive Apple Watch sales to new customers. Big brands like Sanrio could sell watch faces and that would inherently make Apple Watches more appealing to fans of hello kitty for example. Apple just needs to make a ruleset and apis for watch face design, a watch face store doesn’t need to necessarily allow everything if they’re worried about ugly or inappropriate watch faces tarnishing their product’s aesthetic but tbh apple’s watch faces have been pretty mid for the most part. Relying on Apple to make a couple watch faces per year has been a fucking drag.

Hi all. I am excited about this upcoming update for September. I noticed it was mentioned that when the watch is in sleep mode, you no longer need to push the crown for 5 seconds to exit sleep mode. Is there a setting to enable or disable that to keep it as it is under Watch OS 10? The reason is in the early hours of the morning and my watch is on sleep mode, I like to when I briefly awaken, push the crown to show the time. It is very useful and non-evasive way to check the time during the nighttime. If the new feature automatically disengages the sleep mode with a simple press of the crown, that will not be convenient unless there is a way to disable that feature. A workaround which also works currently is I can gently rotate the crown during the night and it shows the time but I would prefer just pressing the crown. I would love to hear any thoughts on this from those testing the Beta.
