My wee bro had the original Majestic 12 back in the late 90s, its awesome to see they are still around and still look pretty similar. I had K2 Fatty pros, the first soft boot and then I had Kermits (Bauer Respect) which were also sweet as. I miss skating big time

You skate so much better in the Solas. Those Masterpieces look heavy, sluggish and don't slide as well. Appreciate the impressions though. Cheers.

THAT SETUP! Looks so sick. Glad your enjoying em, my feet are way too wide for m12's or i would have to pick up a pair. Also 720 in the wet, you're a brave man!

Definitely the best looking M12. Was under the impression all recent M12 models were made of recycled plastic. Great chill grinds, Brandon! Peace!

I love the look of those frames, but I can't seem to get the hang of grinding on a flat setup. I've got so used to antirocker... And in other news I've literally just this second received my blader news mug and skeleton tee. Very happy, looks great! ✌️

Didn't you say in the unboxing your Joe's were a US10 and you went a size down in the Tides? I think you might be in the smaller shell if that's the case.

I think my Joes were US11 and my Tides are US10.5s. I think I did change to smaller shell. Even though they look bigger.
@Stu1084 жыл бұрын
@@BrandonDrummond ah yes, sorry, I always use UK sizing so I got confused. You went from EU 45 down to the EU 44 which would be the smaller shell... Do they really look bigger? That's nuts. I've hears several complaints about the m12s not sliding well and have even seen it in videos. But people say other than that, they're great skates. Also, I've seen people do sick things in them, so I guess it's a matter of preference. Me personally, I'm either gonna get some USD's or Razors

If you had to choose between these Symetrics Flat Frames Aluminium or the Solà Street Frames with aluminium H-block, which frames would you choose and why?
@BrandonDrummond4 жыл бұрын
It's still early days but at this stage, If we are just skating park, I would go with the Sola's because they're so fun and are a much better value for money. The biggest downside to the Sola's are topsides. They are SO much harder on Sola Street Frames. Once I've really gotten used to the Symetrics I'll answer this better 😆
@mr.rodriguez50994 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. How is the width of the soul plate comparing against the razor SL/shift2 and 5th element? I heard that the M12 is not great. Even pro skaters said that grinds are easier with the 5th element. What is your experience?
@Vercingetorix.Fantasia4 жыл бұрын
M12 has the closest thing to an old school soul(no soul) as any modern skate. I skated with elements in 2002 before ufs. I've skated razors since. 5ths are sef wider than m12s, they were even back in the day. The m12 is basically the original aggressive boot. Hasnt changed much over the years.
@mr.rodriguez50994 жыл бұрын
@@Vercingetorix.Fantasia thank you for the info👍
@BrandonDrummond4 жыл бұрын
M12s have a small soul plate which gives them a very different feeling. It means you can't get away with not landing in tricks properly. Having a bigger soul plate makes grinds easier but you loose a lot of handling and responsiveness in skating. I prefer the slimmer more controlled feeling on the smaller soul plate over the easier grinds but big clunky feeling of a bigger one.

@@BrandonDrummond thank you. That's clear 👍

I dont think the quality of the linner in the tides is on par with the joe linner. The padding is better on the joes you may want to swap over the linners.

Ive been thinking on switchling liners out but i wanted to find out what you recommend for this skate if you know. I do like the way they roll. I was told that the 5th elements are a bit more wider so hear in the next weeks i was planning on buying some. You look good in them with your skating. Thanks for your advice and Peace!✌🏽

They are Roces Majestic 12's or streets or romes or impalas, same shell, same shell, same shell, were designed before aggressive skating was even invented. I had a pair 15 years ago, they are still making & marketing them cause they are a business & can't even be arsed to spend a couple bucks to make a new shape, they are in no way designed to grind on waaaay to tall & rigid with zero ankle flex side to side and less than zero backward forwards flex, you will never be able to skate in these, compared to something like the haffey remz, I had been on roces shells for years,vthen switched to the remz & learnt a million new tricks in a day.
