I made a similar spare tire mount for my trailer years ago, I also left some space behind the tire so I could use a spare tire cover, we have three dogs, two that came from the shelter, love them to death, great video my friend 👍😁
@BrandonLund17 сағат бұрын
Thanks man. Shelter dogs are special. I think they know down deep they were given a second chance. I like your spare tire cover idea. I wished I remembered to mention in the video, but I'm going to simply use one of those mag wheel locks to secure the wheel. Probably put the 3 remaining others from the kit on the rest of the wheels. The spare is the easy one to get though.

@ because of my ocd I also put together a toolbox, I had an extra scissor jack, added a proper size lug wrench and wheel lock socket and anything else I could think of such as wire for lights, electrical tape, wire nuts basically things I could make repairs away from home, I take it with me when I’m towing my boat or utility trailer, we have four vehicles that I can tow with all different lug nut sizes and jacks

That mount looks great. I had a friend that mounted a complete trailer hub assembly to his trailer for his spare tire mount. He had a spare hub, race, bearing, tire, basically anything that can go bad if he needed it.
@BrandonLund16 сағат бұрын
Funny you mention this! I ALMOST went that route! It's a great idea. My brake hub assemblies won't be here until January, or I would have :)

Use a tapered nozzle for those tight areas. I used to keep a nozzle, tip and diffuser all together in my toolbox, just for those tight areas

Nicely done! I wish I have room for table like yours but I pretty much packed my garage. I use metal folding metal, and make my stuff outside on it. Use tons of vices and clamps. I built mine on front motorcycle trailer tongue similar what you did. Sure can’t live without spare tire!!

I have Dewalt tools and years ago bought a jigsaw that rain on 18 volts, so I bought the adapter to use the 20 volt batteries. Another piece of equipment is hedge trimmer by Ryobi and those 18 voltage batteries wouldn't last so I bought an adapter for it to run Dewalt battery. You could buy a lockable lugnut for that spare tire.

Those little adaptors are awesome. I like your idea with the lockout. I'm pretty sure that's the route I'll go! 👍thanks man!

Fabulous wheel-mount and what a sweet dog. I am very fond of dogs. It's time to get one myself. There's a saying that you get older with having pets. Love the way how you start creating a sketch(simply on paper) and have an amazing result. Respect Brandon...Great trailer which is going to look like new again... Greetz and Merry Christmas from Holland..😀💯🌲🌲🌲🍀🍀
