I know a lot of folks say they have rust free vehicles but you are achieving what most only claim. I'm here for this kind of content!

Making a vehicle truly “rust free” is extremely difficult, especially ones that are 40 years old. I guess replacing most of the metal is one way to do it ;)

Congrats on all that work!!! Most people don't go the extra mile to have a rust free vehicle. You didn't only go that far, but decided to record every nut and bolt going on and off during the process. That's all every vw bus fan wants to see and eventually do someday in life. Thank you for the effort!!

Nice work, I welded a new roof only my 68 double cab this week, finished the 10 thousandth plug weld and on the last one sent a hot nugget of weld into my sock and burned my foot. Gotta love it to do it.

Absolute mint work Brandon! Loving every episode. Thumbs for the no-music-only-shop-noise approach. Question: while equipment and space investment heavy, would not media blasting be preferred for this level of work? Wire wheel and chemicals put a higher requirement on attention to detail to get every spot. Ps. "Dude, the back end fell off.."
@BrandonsBus4 ай бұрын
Good question! I think if I did it all over again I’d drop the bus off at a place that could media blast the entire thing for me, it’s difficult to get the equipment that could easily media blast a whole car so I opted for the chemical method on the larger areas and a sandblast cabinet for the smaller parts.
